Since there's a film thread, I thought I would start a TV thread since there are some IR couples running around here. Some are missed opportunities and others are ones producers would like us to forget. But we won't! lol.

There's a few Youtube vids running around with said couples. Here are my faves:

Girl you are my hero for doing this! I love you. I really liked Legacy and I wanted them together. Dummies for canceling it. We are psychic sisters. I hope we can find footage from MDs b/c there was a really cute couple on there: William Fichtner and Aunjenue Ellis.
I firmly believe that Doctor and Martha could have had a love connection if he hadn't fallen for Rose first.

Renee Elise Goldsberry is so adorable. I wish I watched the soaps more to have seen her on there.

I want to add Jason and Kelly from The Game on the CW. He's such a jerk to her, but I want them to get back together, LOL. (If you haven't seen this show, you must. It's funny, but the characters' problems are actually interesting too.)

Rae, how cool you have started this thread. Just last week, I thought about posting a similar thread to Danielle's yahoo group.

You have named a lot of couples from shows that I watch or watched.

You have said the couple that played Eve and Julian on passions is a real life couple. I didn't know that. Did the change the characters or something or are they the original characters you are talking about?

I didn't care for Passions. My soap days have been over with for years, until one of my aunts wanted me to watch soaps with her a few years ago. I would browse at the soaps, but wasn't really into them.

My soap opera use to be Santa Barbara and I watched Gerneral Hospital, because of Jason, AJ and Keisha.

Jason and Keisha was an interracial couple. Keisha later on hooked up with AJ too. Jason and AJ were brothers.

Oh, I've watched One Life To Live, back in the day, because of the interracial romance between Rachel and Drew. Nora's daughter and Bo's son.

I thought that Passion was a stupid soap opera, but I have to admit, I liked the original Fox, he was so cute. The original Ethan was cute too, but he was dumb. LOL.

I've stopped watching Degrassi, well I have glanced at a few episode, but kind of lost interest, after JT died.

I watch Lincoln Heights, because of Cassie and Charles.

USA High was my Disney teen show back in the day.

Another interracial couple on a prime time soap opera. Knot Landing: Julie and Thomas.

Besides watching Knot Landing for them, I have to say that a non-interracial couple that I liked was Paige and Michael.

I think they're the same characters and actors from the beginning. Though they changed the characters so many times (regarding how they act and what they do) that it makes my head spin sometimes. Passions was a headache and I had to stop watching cause I need closure and this show draaaaaggged ooooon. Plus I got mad at how they did Fox and Whitney wrong. I kind of retaliated and cut my own version and made a movie out of it lol.

Oh yeah I heard of Santa Barbara but never had a chance to watch it. I heard about GH later after Jason and Keesha was over and from the fans who were angry about how they ended (which I could see, they did that couple wrong. :-/)

There was an IR couple on Days of our Lives I think. A looong time ago. I can't remember their names but the girl was Julia I think? I really liked them.

Oh yeah, and Renee Goldsberry was on a movie recently with Steven Seagal. My mom's a huge fan of him. Whatever anyone says about his acting and movies I have to give props that he does not discriminate with his leading ladies. They've all been different ethnicities and I thought that was awesome.

The heroine on The Princess Bride played on Santa Barbara as Kelly Capwell.

I'm glad they cancelled Passions, because they truly didn't know how to end things.

Another soap that I had checked out was Guiding Light. They had an interracial couple on there. Two doctors BWWM.

I like watching Steven Seagal movies. He is so effortless in his movies. My favorite is Fire Down Under. I like the romance between SS and Marg Helgenburger, and I like how he handles the bad guys.

Goldberg Joins Cast Of The Cleaner

Oscar winner Whoopi Goldberg will play Benjamin Bratt's ex-wife in a guest appearance on U.S. TV drama The Cleaner.

The odd coupling is part of a new plotline for the series' second season, which will see Goldberg return for a number of episodes, reports EW.com.

It's not the only TV project Goldberg has been involved in - the co-host of U.S. talk show The View recently created and starred in a science-fiction mini-series which streamed online in January.

Yepp I noticed that too. Every time they have the courage to show an IR there's a sudden 'backlash' from certain viewers and they chicken out, cancel the show while blaming some outer force. Hmmm.
