Thanks for that. While it'd be fantastic if I set the world alight with my prose, i'll settle for a few people reading and liking my stories. :)
It's not going to stop me writing the next one, hopefully much quicker this time!

For what its worth Daniel(as im a PSP newb), your cover creates a good atmosphere and even as a small icon you can read the text very well. So as an ebook cover i find it certainly does the job! I do agree though that it doesnt give much away concerning the genre, but by this point your blurb should be pulling the reader in the rest of the way.

Heh, you have no idea how much I've heard that one... :P
If I had a penny for every time someone had said that... well, I'd have 64p or something close to that... ;)

My name is Daniel Brown and I have just published my first book titled:
The Curse Tablet
http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Curse-Tab...
https://www.smashwords.com/books/view...
It is a horror-thriller novel about a couple who move to rural Somerset in order to escape their lives in the city. Little do they know that the country life is about to be torn up and ripped apart!
I've always wanted to be a writer, but as many have probably experienced, life got in the way. I stumbled through my education and ended up working at a call centre in Bristol, wondering what I was supposed to be doing with my life.... a chance advert in the Evening Post, led me to university and then onto a degree course in System Analysis.
I met my wife in my final year and we now have three wonderful children. And I'm working a job I can do and am good at...
...
BUT... I always wanted to be a writer, and over the past four years I have managed to finally complete a novel. All my others are still incomplete in a folder of shame on the iMac!
Releasing it just recently has added extra impetus to my goals and I intend to write my second book this year, hopefully going live in January 2014. There, I've said it, now let's see what life can do to get in the way!
