Cycle #1 - Reporting Thread

When all team members have completed the FIRST book (the only book for members signing up to read just one), the last team member to complete their book will report by leaving a post here. This will be the basis for determining which team will get to pick the theme for the next cycle.

Remeber, so that eveyone starts at the same time, reading will not start until the 15th of March!

Lauren and I finished our first books as well. We both finished today, 3/23. Here our reads:

We both had read the book we recommended the other so it's been nice to discuss the books as we read it. :)

That is one of the things I really like about the recommending, too, D.G. If you can pick books that the others have read, it gives you someone to discuss them with. :)

I'm not sure my partner is still in the game. I've heard from her once, a couple of weeks ago. I finished my 3 books a while ago. Maybe she'll show up again at the end of the month.

Lynn, I think people are just different in how frequently they post. Megan is my partner, and for a while I wondered if she was still here. But she posted as soon as she'd finished her first book. And I'm sure she will again once she's read her other two books. So maybe your partner is just behind you in reading and not a frequent poster.

I agree with Susan, Lynn. The only other thing I can think of is, have you tried sending her a PM and just asking how she is doing?

I'll send her a PM and ask. I did look at her page and see she's been reading other books and posting reviews during this time, so I'm not sure what's going on. But I'll ask :)

Let me know how it goes, by PM if you want. We will be making some changes to the game for the next cycle, one of which will hopefully make this less of an issue.

I loved it! It got heavy (weight wise). I'm definitely getting the second one on my kindle.

Yup, next cycle sign-up be called on May 1st. And yes, you can definitely change number of books you'd like to read. You'd have to nominate the number each time you sign-up so you can adjust with however busy you are at that time :)

Yep, sign ups for the second cycle start May 1st. We are making a few changes to in response to some of the feedback that we got from you all in Cycle 1.

And, as Tien said, you can certainly change the number of books you sign up for. Each Cycle will be totally separate.
