Rae, definitely turn me on to those online promo links. Thanks. I don't like to spam people and I try to participate where I can. It's hard because I work full time and have a side business so whatever time I get to write, I do. Last week I went through my TBR pile of books I bought and promised to read so I don't feel any more stress on me.
About your challenge, I'll be happy to check out your stories. Let me know where they are and how to participate. I'll see if I have the time. Not only am I putting the finishing edits on my novel, I'm hoping to submit a short story to another press and the deadline is December 31 and I haven't even started yet.
;o)
Chaeya
Sounds good! I'll pop you an IM. :-)
I hope the reading helps. Sometimes writing and submitting can be so draining. I know what you mean about deadlines. But I'm sure you'll make it in no time. :-)

Chaeya, you don't have to participate in the writing challenge. I was just trying to get another writer to join in the fun. You are an author and you are already on a time schedule. I have to admit, scenes from my uniform story - The Agent be dancing in my head, but I probably will not get to it until November or later October or even December. I'm writing to two stories as it is and my third, which is my first story has been put on hold.

Pace yourself accordingly. What helped me was organizing by scene in my book. I'll say I want to be done up to this scene by the end of the week and so on. This way, if I get done early, I can then reread what I edited to make sure it flows.
Chaeya, yes, I write to more than one story at a time and trust me, since I do 99.9% of writing in my head, scenes from all my stories can come to me within minutes of one another.
Writing is fun to me. Very relaxing. I don't write to get published. That's not my desire. I write for fun, I have been writing for 22 years for fun.
I'm very shy, when it comes down to my writing. But, I have to say, I have taken a big step and join the Royal challenge on here and plus, posted my other stories first on my blog, then my website (which I no longer uses) and now on my GR group.
I am about to write another installment to my Royal Challenge - Courage. It will be posted up sometime today.

Okay Chaeya. Please check out Danielle's, Rae's and Eugenia's stories too.
I'm not an excellent writer, so please excuse my errors. I don't write like an author either. I write more like a script.

Definitely, Rae. I descended into British Nanny speak, but that's exactly what I was trying to say. :)
I am my own worst critic. I know some people probably think that I say things about my writing to get people to say the opposite, but that's not the case. I am truly my own worst critic.

Same here! I beat myself up before anyone else can get to me. Still do not get it right all the time. Darn being a frail, flawed human.

Welcome aboard, Ronica. Check out the IR books shelf we have. You will probably see your IR collection explode. :)
Thanks for joining us. I won't do the group hug. I don't want you'all to think I'm touchy feely 'cause I'm not. :)

Nicole, you don't have to rush in writing a uniform story. Mine probably won't be up until November or December. Whenever you do decide to write one, you can post it under the Writer Challenge folder.
I ask all writers to warn me if their story is an erotic story or if their story contains a detail sex scene.
I'll read stories with detailed sex, but I'll skip the sex scene, so everyone please don't be offended, if I don't read your detailed sex scene.
Example of detailed sex to me: Linda's ?????? is dripping wet. She looks at Mark and grabs a hold of his hard ??????, "Take me now" she tells him............
The scene continues to state what the two are doing.
I don't care for scenes like that. I don't care for dirty talk.
I hope I haven't offended anyone. That's not my intention.

Nicole I am jazzed you want to do the challenge. You can jump in anytime. I probably won't be able to post much during November, since I'm doing NaNoWriMo, but I'm going to try to finish my royal story and start the uniform story for October and go from there.
I'd love some suggestions/to hear your fave interracials.
Arch I don't think it's asking too much for the writer to post a warning of content. That way you can proceed having been warned.

Yay, I love giving recommendations!
* J.J. Murray - "I'm Your Girl" (I like most of his books, but this is the best one I've read. The one I don't like is Renee and Jay--his first one.)
* Crystal Hubbard - "Mr. Fix-It" (I, too, am a Hubbard fan like many here. I've only read one so far, but I've ordered/purchased most of the rest of them and they're on the list.)
* Seressia Glass - "Three Wishes"
Those are the ones I've read that I would recommend.
I have some intriguing ones on my to be read list, though. I just bought Southern Fried Standards by S.R. Maddox, which looks good. And of course there are all of my Hubbards waiting to be read. And I'm always looking for more to add to the list. :)

I heart No Commitment Required. :-) Le sigh.
The Color of Love is also another good one I think.
No prob, Nicole! :-D

I used to read every IR I got my hands on. Now I'm a little more careful about what the content is. But I am so glad that this genre is ever-widening and growing. Here's to continued growth.
Same here, Danielle. That's why I'm so glad I have you guys to give me an idea of the books before I grab em. :-D Looking forward to more in the future.
And speaking of, I can't wait until Frost on My Window by Angela Weaver is out. BWWM IR with a Scottish rock hero. YUM!

I so want to read that one. Have you read Crush? The hero is a Welsh rock star. I've heard that Miranda rubs some readers the wrong way, but I haven't read it yet.
Oh! Haven't read that one must grab!
Thanks for the heads up about the heroine. Maybe the yummy hero will even her out? Definitely looking forward to your thoughts when you read this one, Danielle.

Arch, I think we had the "warning" issue on Amazon talk. I agree with you that authors should warn people about the content. My books does contain some erotic content and I'm straight up with people about it because I don't want to hear them winging at me later. Fortunately, my book is "Romantic and Erotic" elements, so they aren't the driving force of the book and there's plenty of story in between. So no, I'm not offended if people don't care for descriptive sex. Most e-presses are up front about the "heat" level of a book, but I still think an author should go a step further and post a warning underneath their blurb.
And in all honesty, I try to keep my sex scenes clear of redundant activities and women "dripping." If she's dripping then I think she should be heading over to Walgreens for something and not having sex. Ha Ha.
LOL, Chaeya!
I wish authors would warn in books, but since we are doing stories on here. I think that writers that are participating in the challenge stories should warn us about their stories or sex scenes.

I know some of the mods from other groups, and a few others in here so I decided to check it out. I just recently read a book that involved interracial relationships and I really liked it. I figured I would join here and see if I can find any other books that interest me :)
