Just popping in to let all the IR sci-fi fans in the group know that Starhunter 2300 is available now on YT in full. I really love this series and was so sad to see it go. It features a nice group of characters including the beautiful and talented Dawn Stern as bounty hunter Callie Larkadia and the handsome yummy Clive Robertson as Travis Montana. There's an underlying amount of tension between the two potentially getting together and since I saw them, they've become one of my fave IR tv couples. You can't get anymore kick butt than Callie! There's also an ep that shows her parents who are also IR.

Great writing, really cool effects and an awesome story make this one of my favorites. I hope you guys check it out and enjoy it! :-)

Here's a blog post I made about the universe in case you're interested and here's the link to the YT channel.

For a sneak peek, I posted a short clip here.

Someone posted one of my fave scenes between Callie and Travis here. Yum.

I don't even know what show you are talking about Rae, but I do like the youtube scene. One of your favorite scene between Callie and Travis.

I knew that Dawn looked familiar. She use to play on a show called Viper. I use to watch that show. I always felt that her character and the lead man should be together.

Np Danielle! Hope you enjoy it. :-) There's talk that it may get a finish so I'm really hoping to see a resolution for everyone on the show (esp Callie and Travis :-D)

Oh yes! I vaguely remember Viper, Arch. There's another goodie I'm going to have to hunt down. Yes, that is a rockin' scene. :-D

PT (spinsterpt) | 319 comments I skipped work today to get "the big chop." I cut off about 8"-10" of hair. I have a teenie, weenie afro. I feel like...a pixie. I have gotten mixed reviews, but I don't care because I cut it off for me.
Oh, I went to see "The Hangover." It is SO funny. I loved it and hope that I never get that hungover in my life.

Debbie (halfpint66) | 221 comments It's been such a long time since I've seen a movie, either on cable, in the theatre or on dvd. I had basic cable so no movie channels to watch, but I had to give that up last summer so I could keep up with my bills. It was either the cable or internet that had to go. The cable lost that fight LOL.

Good choice. We don't have cable either.

Debbie is spot on. I love short hair. I rocked short hair for over ten years. I decided to grow my hair about three years ago and now I have it down to my shoulders. You have to feel good about yourself. If you feel good with the pixie cut, that's what matters, and men will flock to you, Urban Pixie.

Debbie I'd choose books over tv anyday. I am able to enjoy the cable when I want to watch it, but there are times I just turn off the tv and read my book.

Debbie (halfpint66) | 221 comments I only kept the tv on for background noise. Now I do that with internet radio which I'm not addicted to. So much great music on internet radio!! I don't miss tv at all. There was never nothing to watch anyway, except for all of those "reality" shows. I hate them. Anyway, if I had kept the cable I couldn't watch anything now after the change over to digital today. My two tv's were not equipped for that. They are too old.

I love internet radio. My sister told me about a great site. It's called last.fm. You can make your own radio station. It does tend to repeat some of the same songs, but if you decide you don't like a song, you can ban it. I listen to it at work all the time.

I am bad about having the tv on and not really watching it while I do other things. I may get sucked into a scene or two. It's good company since I'm alone most of the time since I'm on the road.

message 265: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (halfpint66) | 221 comments Thanks for the internet radio tip Danielle, I will give that one a try too. RIght now I listen to either AOL radio or Itunes Radio. I like AOL better because even though it does tend to repeat some songs it doesn't as bad as Itunes radio does.

At first I didn't see what the fuss was about Damian Lewis, until I saw Shakespeare Retold Much Ado About Nothing. I fell, and hard. I love his beautiful red hair.

I, too, loved the Shakespeare Retold. Rufus Sewell as Petruchio was hubba-hubba hot. I don't even care that he was a cross-dresser. I thought it was actually a pretty funny twist.

message 270: by new_user (new)

new_user Damien Lewis is striking, I always think that's a plus for a show. You don't want a forgettable star.

I loved Taming of the Shrew. It had the same effect on me as Much Ado... I was never into Rufus until I saw him in that. Now I'm drooling when I watch Eleventh Hour.

Damien Lewis is definitely striking. I can't see Life working so well with another more generic actor.

Am I the only one here who is addicted to Oreo Cookies? I don't realize it until I start eating them again, and then I eat so many I don't want to eat any again for a little bit, and then it starts all over again. I bought some at the store about four weeks ago and they sat in my drawer. I took them to work, and I eat one and it was all downhill from there (currently eating Oreos).

LOL. Yeah I don't think you'll like Oreos if you don't like chocolate.

Arch, don't buy them. It's just bad. It's a horrible slippery road to oblivion. You can't just eat one.

You right Danielle, I can't eat just one. The same thing for pringles. I can't eat just one and lays chips. I can't eat just one.

How many times did Danielle fall asleep in class today?
a. Zero--Danielle would never fall asleep in class
b. One--She had a momentary lapse
c. Two--Okay she didn't sleep well last night
d. Three--Dang! Who is she, Rip Van Winkle?

Three times. It was really bad. My classmates were teasing me hard. I'm sorry, most of it was repetitive and boring, and I am just not used to sitting aroud doing nothing. I should have bought a crossword puzzle book at the store yesterday.

Lol it's like a frozen yogurt joint that was all over California. They had like a grip of flavors and they used to serve them in these little styrofoam cups. It wasn't too milky like heavy ice cream but it was very light and tasty. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TCBY

OOh, they have a site. I guess they are still in business woo hoo. http://www.tcby.com/pages/page/soft_s...

Are we talking about yogurt ice cream or yoplait yogurt?

If I am not mistaken McDonalds serves yogurt, most people think it's ice cream. If that's what you are talking about, then I eat McDonalds ice cream.

If you are talking about the yoplait yogurt, etc. then no that taste nasty to me.
