Bea Hi. I have a copy of Lord of the Dance, which matches this entry by cover, publication date, and publisher. But my copy does not have an ISBN number and the pages are different (397 vs 401 as listed). Do I change the pages on this edition assuming it is my book or do I add another edition?

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) | 6325 comments I would not. That edition has an isbn and likely it's data is isbn specific. You can look the existing isbn up on non-bookseller sites to see if the info might be wrong.

If your book significantly different from other editions (not sure "3 pages different" is enough of a difference) fcreate a new edition and combine. Can note any edition specific information (maybe something on copyright page or spine) to make up for absence of isbn number.

In page numbering arguments, publisher sites are good sources. If you find a link to publisher site saying 401, I'd just change the page numbering and note link in the change comments. Different data sources and goodreads members can essily count page numbers differently and be off by 3.

Thanks, Debbie. I just wasn't sure, but I agree with you. I will leave it alone since pages are not totally an issue for me. I can't justify another edition just for pages either.
