I read "Life of Pi" last year and absolutely loved it! I hope everyone enjoys the read. Once you've read the book, I highly recommend seeing the movie. I thought it was a brilliant adaptation and deserves it's nod from the Academy this year. Good reading!

I read the book a few years ago. I did not see the movie yet. I really loved the book. I was totally thrown at the end, I didn't see that coming at all, I couldn't get over the ending! I felt like I had been sucker-punched, but it was certainly a lot to think about, which makes a book more interesting.

I also really liked the ending and loved Part 1 but couldn't get over the 40 or 50 chapters in the middle. Way too graphic and redundant for me.
