Apocalypsis Buddy Read

Hi guys!

I'm planning a reread of the first three books next month in order to get ready for Book 4. Anyone want to join in on a buddy read? I'm not planning on starting until March 1, so just leave comment or something if you want to join in.

You'd think I'd know how it works, since it was my idea... not so much. I've seen buddy reads before, but never participated in one. I guess we'll treat it like a book club and we will discuss the books as we read.

I think that basically, we all start reading them at the same time, and then as we move through, we can introduce topics for discussion and look closely at characters, events, and emotions that we are feeling about it all. We don't need to be all at the same point to join in on the discussion, but by reading them again [or for the first time] with a buddy, we can enrich the experience and share insights that may be new to others, or may be something you have always been dying to talk about but didn't have someone along for the ride.

It is meant to be fun, after all, and so it won't be like writing a book report, more like brainstorming ideas as a group, guessing where things may lead in book 4, and really getting a refresher before it is released so we are ready to dive right in when we can. :D

Wow, it has been so long since I have read these books!
But I would love to read them again, so I am in! I just need to finish the book I am reading now because it's for a review, and it's a really long one, but I will catch up with you guys quickly! I love Elle's books, so I can never put them down once I start!

I hear you Teresa, I started the 'War of the Fae' series a few days before the "Buddy Read" and am now trying to race through them before re-reading the "Apocalypsis" series again. I have read so many novels between my first read of "Apocalypsis", that I forgot how sneaky Elle is with her dramatic cliff-hangers. It makes it impossible to stop from moving to the next book if you have it handy... sneaky sneaky Elle!

I am now in up to my knees with Jayne and the gang, and don't see it changing anytime soon! LOL. I will need to go back to "Apocalypsis" soon though, I need good discussion questions for the group. :D

I too have a big book to finish and review then I will catch up with ya'll. Needed to refresh myself on the series before the new book comes out & it will be more fun to do it with fellow fans.
