I've read the Mortal Instruments and I absolutely love it. I was wondering about the Infernal Devices series. Is it any good? I want all opinions, good or bad, before I make my decision whether or not to read it.

I genuinely think it is an amazing book series. Not only are there familiar names (and faces), but these characters are just as intriguing and easy to love as Jace and Clary and all their friends. It's especially good if you have a love of historical fiction, particularly Victorian London. In a lot of ways, as much as I adored Mortal Instruments, I found Infernal Devices to be much more *emotionally* gripping, even if they mythology of the storyline isn't quite as developed.
I think Infernal Devices is SO much better than Mortal Instruments. Tessa's a great protagonist (Clary was kinda too perfect) and Will & Jem are AMAZING.
i totally second all those comments but my oppinion was that the infernal devices were a tad slow.. but still beyond amazing!!!

Alright. So I've taken your advice into consideration and I'm gonna start reading. Actually... I sort of did at the fifth message. So, I'm done and I can't wait for "The Clockwork Princess." I'm starting a new question:
What do you think will happen in "The Clockwork Princess?"

Cause Clary wasnt too perfect. in fact, she was a brat who ruined everything. She's my least fav character
And TMI has better characters, though i still think Jem and Will are awesome! TID has a much better plot, cause after the 3rd book in TMI it starts to go in circles
Personall, I like TID better than TMIJUst my opinion, but it's plot is more interesting, I LOVE the characters, and gosh, MAGNUS BANE!
I absolutely love it to death. Although my mind was telling Tessa to both kill and kiss Will through the entire book. ARGH! Will drove me absolutely crazy! Which is what makes this book so incredibly amazing!
I love both TMI and TID. They are awesome series. I prefer TID more, for it was set during Victorian era, with darker story and slightly more complicated compared to TMI.
Let us start a chant shall we. Read it, read it, read it. :DNeedless to say I love love love the infernal devices. I adore them.

Nice, Ive read the Mortal Instruments and loved the series very much. I was kinda shying away from The Infernal Devices because for some reason it just didnt sound all that great to me. However, I bought Clockwork Angel last night and so far am enjoying it very much! Just reading how much everyone else likes it makes me want to pick up my android and read start reading!
