Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments OK so here a post to discuss any book you would like to 'cause I know that some people are desperate to talk about books that we !YA Heroines! have not read.

So has anyone read Wings (Wings, #1) by Aprilynne Pike Wings by Aprilynne Pike???

message 2: by Kristina (new)

Kristina I listened to it as an audio book, does that count? I have yet to read the next one in the series.
I thought the book had a good and different twist, and it was okay, not the best but it did keep my interests.

message 3: by Simmaron (new)

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments Even I haven't. But I don't think that's fun. Reading is better than listening.

message 4: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments I think I'd feel weird about listening to an audio-book... what do you guys think about Detergent (Divergent bk3) will be like I'm thinking that Tris is gonna do something stupid.

message 5: by Simmaron (new)

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments She is reckless. She always do something that's stupid.

message 6: by Simmaron (new)

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments Don't u think that insurgent is more violent than divergent??

I use to feel the same , but it's nice when your driving, cleaning, or cooking. Some audio books are a lot better than others too.

message 8: by Simmaron (new)

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments I wonder how Tris survived after so many injuries and getting hurt on those injuries again and again. Lol. Divergent wasn't so violent. In insurgent there are always war going on.

message 9: by Simmaron (new)

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments Fingers crossed. Hope so!!

message 10: by Simmaron (new)

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments But after war effects shouldn't be bad. I hope there's a happy ending. As tris is all alone without any family Tobias should become her family.

message 11: by Sophie (new)

Sophie (warpedline) | 214 comments Yeah, I've read it. Didn't love it, but it was okay :)

message 12: by Simmaron (new)

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments I loved it too. Divergent more than Insurgent.

*gasp* I loved it."

Wait, are we talking about Wings or Divergent? Cause Wings is a semi-no, and Divergent is a definite yes. Just thought I'd clear that up :)

message 14: by Simmaron (new)

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments We are talking about Divergent here.

message 15: by Simmaron (new)

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments ;)

message 16: by Simmaron (new)

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments Me too. The cast is also good, unlike TMI .

message 17: by Simmaron (new)

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments She's not bad. I like her. I think she'll do justice to the role of Tris!

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments 2014...

message 19: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) Jenny, have you read Tiger's Curse?

message 20: by Niámh (new)

Niámh | 186 comments Has anyone read this series Skulduggery Pleasant (Skulduggery Pleasant, #1) by Derek Landy Playing with Fire (Skulduggery Pleasant, #2) by Derek Landy The Faceless Ones (Skulduggery Pleasant, #3) by Derek Landy Dark Days (Skulduggery Pleasant, # 4) by Derek Landy Mortal Coil (Skulduggery Pleasant, #5) by Derek Landy Death Bringer (Skulduggery Pleasant, #6) by Derek Landy Kingdom of the Wicked (Skulduggery Pleasant, #7) by Derek Landy

It is epic.

message 21: by Sophie (new)

Sophie (warpedline) | 214 comments The guy next to me in Grade 6 read the Skulduggery series - he said it was great, but I'm not sure if I trust his definition of "great"...

message 22: by Sophie (new)

Sophie (warpedline) | 214 comments Yeah, there are just some series/books I've never scrounged up the motivation to read - like the Lux series. I kept hearing people rave about how amazing they are, but when I finally decided to read them, they weren't "blow-me-out-of-the-water" wow, but just like "yeah-that-was-cool" wow. Nothing like TMI, or even better TID, for instance.

message 23: by Simmaron (new)

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments People like Lux series just because of Daemon. His behaviour towards Katy. Although the last book Opal is good and has a cliffhanger so it maintains curiosity.

message 24: by Simmaron (new)

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments Ha. Ha. Ha!! True ;)

message 25: by Simmaron (new)

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments Goodnight. It's noon here. Lol :D

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments Jenny wrote: "Kaitlin wrote: "Jenny, have you read Tiger's Curse?"

Nope Haven't read it but I am planning to. I hear it's a very good book. I'm pretty sure Chelsea has though..."

Not yet I haven't.

message 27: by Kate (new)

Kate (kaitlins16) I asked about Tiger's Curse because I was wondering if you would agree on the characters (since you're real big on like able characters). The book broke my awesome great-book streak I was on. I haven't finished it yet, but I'm still not happy with it.

message 28: by Chelsea (new)

Chelsea (theycallmebookworm) | 1955 comments I've heard a lot about Tiger's Curse. I like fantasy but I don't know if I would enjoy this book.

message 29: by Simmaron (new)

Simmaron (mybookedlife) | 1119 comments So guys I need help. I have this Iron Fey series and some stand alone fiction books which aren't paranormal. Which one should I start first. Confused!! :/

message 30: by Emily (new)

Emily (emily21) | 217 comments Ok so I just finished Tiger's Curse and it wasn't as awesome as I thought it would be, but I'm going to read the next book to see if things get better. BUT, is it just me or were there some scenes that seemed copied straight out of Twilight!? The monkey vampires biting her, the fainting, the flirting with the waitress, the epilogue, the love triangle hint for the next book... it seemed like the author just copied the major plot points of Twilight and made it about a Tiger's Curse. I even heard Kelsey is pregnant in the last book... Did anyone else see this... Tell me I'm not crazy. I'm curious if the next book is like New Moon and introduces another male love interest.

message 31: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 2466 comments I can't help I am stuck on paranormal so my opinion would be bias
