free medical care - a few years ago, I had to have chemo and radiation therapy for treatment of cancer. The reaction I had meant that I had to stay in hospital for ~ a month and 4 months in physical therapy care. The cost was enormous and, 7 years later, we are still paying it off. Beyond what insurance covered, which was generous in and of itself. (Stepping down off of soapbox...)Would you rather read an anthology of short stories or a lengthy tome?

I've always thought that it's so crazy that in the states, an accident, a baby, an illness and during such a chaotic time how it must cost a fortune and the additional stress. It makes me so sad to think of this...
However, I am so happy that it is seven years later and you must have went into remission and are here to share with us everyday. It's been a pleasure meeting your acquaintance. :)))
