Kasia Sorry, but to me it's a female: lipstick + lower boob cleavage = female. But I admit it's not that obvious when you first look at the cover...

Christel (christelc) | 72 comments Also any of the Virgin River books by Robyn Carr are set in California

Annie (themadnessofhamsters) See what happens when you only have a teeny-tiny image to go on! I'll keep hunting...

tosca (catatonichataholic) | 742 comments I read Circusex A One-hand Read by William Maltese and it left me mentally exhausted. The pictures I was building in my head in no way matched the sexual gymnastics going on in the book. So either I'm not imaginative enough OR Monsieur Maltese is FAR too imaginative for me. I fear it is the latter :) For example, the scene where the two guys are in the harness (yeah, don't ask, just take my word for it that there was such a scene)? For some reason I pictured it in my head as a decapitation scene on climax. I don't know why because I re-read that scene three times just to make sure and there were definitely no chopped off/rolling heads. And the scene with the guys and the camel? Did anybody ask the camel if he wanted to have two sweaty, grunting males sitting in between his humps umm humping. Poor camel. Well written but I'm tired after all of the partner swapping and gymnastics LOL There's a huge difference between female written m/m and male written m/m. HUGE difference. Like oceans of difference ;)

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) Bit much for me there Tosca. I agree it would be an exhausting read. lol

Lori (moderatrixlori) Okay Tosca...now I gotta read that book! Too funny.

Julianna (authorjuliannad) | 1888 comments Christie Ridgway's Must Love Mistletoe & Not Another New Year's are both set in California. I think many of her other books are too. Oh yeah, she's from CA too, so any of her books would count.:-)

Nikki ♥ The Villa by Nora Roberts is also in California.

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) question for the powers that be. lol
For #4, oldest TBR book listed on your shelves.... can I change it? lol Here's the thing... I read 7 and attempted the 8th book of one of Debbie Macomber's series in March. My oldest TBR book is the first in another 8 book series of hers. In fact, my oldest 3 books are the first three books in that series. But I'm just not into starting another of her series right now. Can I switch it to the oldest book listed that isn't from her series? Just kinda burned out on that author at the moment since I just read 7.5 of her books, with the last one bombing.

I think that's fair, I would just grab something old that I've been putting off for too long. The challenges are supposed to be mostly fun not plain torture! I think a little flexibility won't kill us...

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) I just need a break before I start another of her series. Don't want to read two of her 8 book series in a row.

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments Totally understand, Briansgirl. In fact, even though almost all of the books I have been reading recently are part of a series, I never read them consecutively or else I'll get burned out with the author. Some people wants to start a series and then go out and read all of them one after another. I always mix and match...LOL..I'ts a good thing I don't have a problem remembering details or else I would have an issue connecting stories..LOL

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) Trouble is, the first two books in the next series were my oldest TBR book and a book off a bday girls shelves for this challenge, and they fit building and flower categories for the quarterly whats in a name challenge that all end this month. So I may end up needing four books to replace two. lol I doubt I'll get all the challenges finished at this rate, but I just can't bring myself to start another of her 8 books series back to back.

Hey! Congrats on the job!!! We all love to read, but you know the books are always gonna be there, and bills just have to get paid...

ஐ Katya (Book Queen)ஐ (katyabookqueen) trouble is I've wanted to read books I just can't work into the challenges. lol But if I sign up for all the challenges (silly me) I have no room left for the others. Or, if I read some of the others, the challenges don't get done. lol

Congrats on the new job Anna!

Yz the Whyz (whyz) | 9327 comments Anna,

Having a job is a good thing. It's what pays for the book addiction...LOL
