Just read your review...

I'm glad you didnt say it was a pageturner...you know, considering how long you took to read it! Alright, just kidding :)

Rysa promises us the sequel in October this year btw.

Question #5: Do you think the author's depiction of the Cyrists is believable?

I read this book (obviously) years after the group did but I wanted to weigh in anyway. It was perfect timing that my husband and I watched the latest episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver while I was finishing up this book. On it, he examines televangelists and their ridiculous claims in order to achieve wealth and power. It reminded me so much of the Cyrists I couldn't help but laugh at how true it all is, and unfortunate.

The relationship between Trey and Kate bothered me, and I thought that was one of the most clumsy aspects of this book. He immediately believed her far fetched story and even though she gave him some evidence, I find it hard to believe that any boy worth Kate's time wouldn't have been more skeptical. After a time, after accepting that he wasn't going to go away, I started to like them together. The author gave them things to do which were realistic, like buying Kate onion rings or using Facetime to keep in touch. So I feel slightly bad for wanting her to explore the relationship with Kiernan more. There was just something so much more exciting about that story.

I agree that there are a few things here and there that don't make sense. (view spoiler)

I went ahead and read the other two books in the series. I liked the second book the best, but it was definitely an enjoyable ride and I'm sad it is over. Did anyone else finish it off?

Debbie | 84 comments I literally finished Time's Divide last night. Excellent series! Now I am reading Time's Mirror. I don't want to be done with this Chronos world yet. I might try some of the Amazon Worlds stories, too, The Chronos Files: Time Burned or The Chronos Files: Time Rift

Oh is this a complete trilogy? Everything wrapped up in the third book? I only read the first book back when it was a group read which I enjoyed but im weary these days of waiting on so many chronicles to continue their stories as when each book is released, I forgets what happened in the last.

Yes, it is a trilogy. There are a few Kindle editions too but since I don't have a Kindle or any plans to get one I won't be reading them.

Thanks Samantha, I'll try make this a priority then as I did enjoy the first book and can still vividly remember the events despite it being a while ago since I read it...which I guess is credit to Rysa for writing it memorably enough!

Heather(Gibby) (heather-gibby) | 469 comments Just started Time's Edge. I am listening to it on audio. I don't usually listen to time travel books, as the changing time lines an be confusing, but I figure since I read the first one and am familiar with the storyline and characters, I would give it a try in audio.

Nancy (paper_addict) Is it good? I liked book 1 but haven't gotten to book 2 yet.

Heather(Gibby) (heather-gibby) | 469 comments Yes Nancy it is very good, but there are a lot of competing timelines, so I would recommend reading rather than listening.

I have about 20 minutes of "reading" time left. I will post a review when I am done.

Nancy (paper_addict) I don't listen to audio books but that is good to know for those that do.
