I was working on a book called "Cally's Secret," and found another book on the author's profile with a very similar description. The title, cover, publisher and page count are different, but it appears to be an earlier edition of the same book as the descriptions match so closely. These are the two books:

Cally's Secret is self published by CreateSpace, The Thin Blue Line was published by Raider Publishing, which I think is also self-publishing. The Thin Blue Line is still available for sale at Amazon and other places in paperback.

Should they be combined? Probably not, as the author may have changed the book when she published it the second time, but it just seems really odd that it's the same book twice, but not combined.

Emy (emypt) | 5037 comments I believe Rivka said that rewrites counted as new editions not new titles. There is a current thread discussing a similar situation with an author I think...

Correct. And Jacob, this is an issue of consistent Goodreads policy, not of individual author opinion.

Jacob, all of us were new once. You might try listening/watching more and jumping in less.
