Ohio Doll Bones - not much ubiety, and the kids quest to Ohio but live in PA, but at least for now I'm counting it.More of Ohio is seen in If I Never Get Back so between the 2 I feel satisfied.
Ok, so I have 19 left... which is intimidating... but I went through and made a plan and have definite books for 15 of the 19 so I'll be more focused now! Before I could just sort of knock them off. But now I've looked through some of my other challenges and tried to match up. There are a bunch of 1001 books set in various states, so there we go!
Ok, I just checked - apparently we have just under a year - Feb 17, 2016 is the last day, if I understand correctly. I'm here because I read a book set in Maine and thought it'd be new. But no. :sigh:
New Mexico The Green Glass Sea - an MG book about a girl and her neighbors at Los Alamos when it was a 'factory town' (military base) developing the Bomb during WWII.Montana Hattie Big Sky - historical fiction for all ages 11 - adult. Homesteading in Montana, a single 16 yo girl, during WWI, when even on the prairie a German last name could get you in trouble.
If anybody needs New Hampshire, The Good Good Pig: The Extraordinary Life of Christopher Hogwood is a fun read, with good ubiety.
Yeah, since I'm pretty much moved over to Leafmarks I'm not so good about keeping track here. Hm...none of the ones I have listed as still to do look at all familiar. I might not finish. :(Go Maeve!
I personally love Michael Perry.Truck, Population: 485: Meeting Your Neighbors One Siren at a Time, and Coop: A Year of Poultry, Pigs, and Parenting are all very Wisconsin.

Well, I don't think I made it in the three-years time limit. Alas...eleven states left. Anyone complete their list?

A little late, but The Holdouts by Sherry Clements is set in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Hm. I guess I gave up on this. Kinda forgot about it. Def. didn't finish in time! But I am reading the book that inspired the challenge! My local "state library & archives" has a copy, so I decided to pick it up.
I didn't finish ... I sorta kinda forgot about this challenge. :(Still working on the decade challenge and reading wishlist tag books also. Never enough hours in the day ... So many books, so little time. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Well, I am a bit behind on the Decades challenge, but am still working on it, Edwina.
@ Cheryl...I saw a program based on the book; it was fascinating.
