Tough one, since I'd rather not see them in private collections. But if you insist, I'd like a wolf (yes, it goes completely against my former fear of dogs--and Pasha sure wouldn't favor it).
I wouldn't want to HAVE one, because like Inge, I'd rather they were free. But if I had to BE one, I'd be some kind of pelagic (ocean going)marine mammal, or maybe a huge bear so I could eat honey by the pawful.A wolf would be cool too except they sometimes eat carrion and I would not enjoy that. I'd like to be a beautiful horse eating sweet grass all day and roaming free on a vast plain of fresh green grass.
I'm wolf all the way on this topic, and luckily while it isn't possible to own one, I have the domestic version, my little dog.
I would love to learn ad much as possible about sugar gliders and hedgehogs. One day, I would love to adopt one or the other. I'm currently beginning to read up on hedgehogs.
Melissa, my bloke is English and can't pronounce the letter 'h' (except in the wrong places)He calls hedgehogs, "ejogs"
I have almost permanently adopted his pronunciation of the word, I love it so much.

I lived next door to a policeman who owned a real wolf and it was super well behaved. It behaved far better than all the dogs in the neighborhood who acted bad for the most part. It was an honor to pet Wolf. You didn't just pat him on the head!
When I was very young I wanted an ocelet but I now realize that was a foolish desire. They should remain in their natural habitat or if in a zoo as close as possible to their natural habitat.

I can't pick between my two favorites, so it would have to be a wolf and a tiger.
I guess this was answered for me. I have already been privileged to have had my life touched by a couple of wild creatures: Bonny, a wild rabbit and Sylph, a beautiful muntjac doe.
I want for no more.
