Aleksandra (alexia992) | 12 comments So, I've read this book some time ago, but I cannot seem to recall neither the name of the author, nor the title of the book.
Things I do remember from it were somewhat like:
A teenage girl, what a suprise, has some special powers or something, wow, she even may be a fairy, I really can't remember that part.
I think she gets taken to some "fairy" town where she learns that her grandmother is some powerful woman there, and also she falls in love with a guy I think is her guardian, and in some part of the book he takes her to some cave where they almost kiss or even do kiss, where he took her to help her concentrate on gathering her powers.
Oh, and there is some party or a ball that gets ambushed and she takes advantage of that to steal some book from the library and learn something about her mother not being crazy or something like that.
And at the end I think she and her friend or something get kidnapped or get in trouble and I think then she gathers her powers that are some white light thingy...?
There may be some parts here from some other books (like the fairy part I seem to remember something about some beautiful faeries working as waitresses in some tavern, and some old house being burned to ground, but that may be another book), I read tons of them and I cannot seem to recall their names, sooooo please help me I've been trying to find it a few months now I googled everything I could think of. :(

Aleksandra (alexia992) | 12 comments Oh, and I think that that guy she fell in love with had some water powers or was connected with water or even was some royality in the water world :D

Sounds a little bit like Impossible by Nancy Werlin.

Aleksandra (alexia992) | 12 comments Ummmmm I think it's not that book because I don't remember her being pregnant. :/

Aleksandra (alexia992) | 12 comments Oh and I think her mother was kicked out of that town or ran away or something like that, so they pronounced her crazy.
And also I think that that was the first part and there were sequels in plan at the time.

How long ago did you read it, and do you think it was new at the time?

Aleksandra (alexia992) | 12 comments well I read it in 2011-2012 I think and I think it was new, so I guess it's either from 2010, 2011 or 2012. And I read it as an ebook.

I've thought that also but haven't checked it yet, I just marked it as to read, so I hope it'll turn out that it's the one :D

well that book is also on my to read list but I think it's not the one I was searching for, though, I do think that maybe I have mixed some two books together for that fairy waitresses part :D
But I'd like to find that other book too I just cannot seem to recall much stuff and separate them from each other :D

Aleksandra (alexia992) | 12 comments Kirstin wrote: "Maybe it's Singer of All Songs by Cate Tiernan?"

Nope, I think there wasn't any guarding wall included, but thank you anyway :)

Oh well this may just be the right one, but I started reading reviews and as I go deeper I'm just not so sure anymore :D
But, I will read it in a short period of time so we'll see, thank you! :D

Jessica | 9 comments It's a relatively short book if I remember so hopefully you'll be able to tell fairly quickly.

Yeah, I started reading "Grey eyes" and it's not the one I'm looking for :/
But, oh, well.

I also remembered that there were some kind of towers in that "city" and I think that partners lived in them and protected the city and in some attack some of them were killed but it's kinda hazy :S

Aleksandra (alexia992) | 12 comments Okay, so I found the book and it's this one.
