D-day (ONLY OPEN IF YOU'VE ALREADY READ IT)

I loved the book but im still pretty confused as to what d-day was... Do they mean D-day as in World War II or something else??

Considering the technology advances in this book, my assumption was the term D-Day referred to an event in their past (but in our distant future).

it's definitely in the future - given that it said something like 2265 or a year close to that in the book. i think that they just used the term D-Day in the same sense that they did for WW2 - it was still a historical 'destruction day' type event. at least that's what the Link wants you to believe.
