I'm really excited to read so many good books and to be able to watch everyone else reading good books.. talk about coooool! :) This weekend I'm going to TRY to not add too many books to my TBR, but I'm going to a Sci-Fi and Fantasy convention so you never know what will happen. LOL
Lady Ozma wrote: "Magic Study."I LOVED the Study books and I think Magic Study was my favorite. Some very funny stuff happens in that book!
Uniquely Moi,I love MVS, she's a wonderful person and very talented author. I LOVED Poison Study. I've had this one on my shelf for a while but due to some issues, wasn't able to read... My book group was going to read it but that just didn't work out at all. Then last year it was the year from you know where... well enough's enough! I'm reading it! HEHE I"m on page 210 already and am loving it!!!
Wait til you get through that and into Fire Study. Fire Study is very intense...hence the name.I am anxiously awaiting Storm Glass, Opal's story.
I'm reading Storm Glass next. :) I need to get Fire Study though. I'm anxious to read Storm Glass!!! It's sitting here just begging me to read!! :) But I figured I better read Magic Study first since it's been here longer...
One more bit the dust today (too many bad vampire puns in one sentence, oy!). I'm really psyched to read the rest of Rachel Caine's Morganville series now (but not until May).Only 2 more to go!

Never fear, I'll let you know how it is! I'm not sure when in May it gets released... just that it's coming soon!!!! It's nice and fat and looks fantastic! Lots and lots of pages of Criollo and excitement I'm sure!
It's April 28 and I'm supposed to be getting my signed copy soon. I got it through her referral program! YAY :) I'm soooo excited! I wonder if Yelena and Valek will have any role in it.
Awesome!! Well then I need to finish this book so I can tell you how it is before you get yours! HEHE Mine is supposed to be signed but I haven't taken care of that yet. Next month... Wish she was gonna be at Raven this weekend. *SIGH*
I'm gonna try and snag her for an interview and see if she'll talk about the Opal series some to me in May. Will be FUN! Hope hope hope hope

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! That would be awesome, wouldn't it?
I just got her newsletter, literally JUST got it before coming here. There's a sneak peak inside :)
She'll probably do it. All I gotta do is ask her. She's real cool. Was going to come to my book club which was the whole reason why I was waiting for so long to read Magic Study. We just couldn't get it together. :( It was the book club, not me. Oh well. I gotta catch up with her to get the autograph so I figure I'll ask her then. Most author's jump at interviews. If you ever get to see her in person do it. And if you ever get to go to a poison tasting with her, absolutely drop everything. Tis great fun!
How funny that you just got her newsletter! Fun!!!!
C'est fini.

I can't get around very well, so going to a signing or something like that is really not possible for me, which is another reason I was thrilled to be able to take part in the referral program.
I post on another forum, a gaming forum. I started a BookWorms thread and even there was singing MVS's praises.
How blessed you must feel to be able to have opportunities to do interviews! Have you interviewed Dee Marie yet? She's a good friend of mine as well as a Good Reads author.

Lady Ozma, You haven't read Storm Glass yet? *clucks tongue* bad girl. I read mine at the beginning of the month. Hehe. I won't reveal anything though!
Uniquely Moi - She's fantastic. I see her yearly at Balticon! She's just fantastic and I <3 her very much! I'll see if I can swipe you some swag if there is any at Balticon... if you want! I have not interviewed DeeMarie. My interviews are live and as far as I know DeeMarie has not been at a function with me yet. Wait till you guys hear who I might get to interview next year...waiting to hear on our guest list for Raven 2010!Moss - Grats on finishing! YAY!
Kristen - I was going for books I could finish fast because of my time crunch this month. I am really just far too busy this month. Costuming, getting the podcast up, planting my garden, homeschool... it's been a rough month.
Suppose I can forgive you ;) I understand about being busy. Although reading lately has been my only hobby since I work 60 hours a week and attend classes twice a week. Uck. I can't wait.. this summer is the first summer I won't be taking any classes.
Nice, you can relax!! :) Of course I find just when I think that, 70 new things pop up! ROFL.Glad i'm forgiven. Oh did I mention the three photo shoots I'm having to finalize? Yeah... I'm too freaking busy. And it's not set to stop till after Memorial Day. At which point I plan to fall into my bed and not surface for three days. ROFL
Yeah, I was just looking at my schedule for May. Thank God classes and my night job are over after the second week. Then I'll have evenings and weekends free at least.
That's good! I just happen to have four conferences to attend between this weekend and memorial day weekend. That's freaking unreal. Thankfully one is TOTALLY free except for the food costs.
I just found out about this challenge a couple of days ago. It looks like fun, so here goes:1. Personal Demons (Megan Chase, Book 1) Stacia Kane 4/4/09
2. Hunted (House of Night, Book 5) P.C. Cast 4/7/09
3. Murder Game (GhostWalkers, Book 7) Christine Feehan 4/15/09
4. Turn Coat (Dresden Files, Book 11) Jim Butcher 4/10/09
5. ?
6. ?
7. ?

9. Deadly Harvest (Flynn Brothers, Book 2) Heather Graham

My birthday is Thursday and it would be soooooooo awesome if I could have it by then, but it's not likely even if she mailed it today that I would have it that quickly.
I'd love some swag. What is swag? LOL

Oh what a great gift!!! I hope it makes it in time!!! I can tell you it's coming from the east and is far too close to the hole in the postal system known as "the nation's capital" Good luck. ROFL I swear anything within about 300 mile radius gets sucked into some sort of postal black hole. If you are lucky it gets to China next day, Mars three weeks ago, and anwyhere within that 300 mile radius six months from Friday. ROFL I love that you want swag and don't know what swag is. Swag is the goodies that are given away. I have a Betsy Queen of the Vamps toothbrush, a gazillion bookmarks from various authors, etc etc.
Sometimes Maria has cool swag at Balticon. If you don't get any cool swag with your book and I can find some swag for you, I'll drop you a bookmark or whatever she has. Unfortunately I seem to catch up with her and get chocolate stuff. So that might not be so good. LOL But I know somewhere I had a bookmark at least. (That was pre flood and move of 2008.)
Anyone else you like? I've got Ravencon this weekend, CostumeCon next weekend, and Balticon over Memorial Day. :)
I am going to gather random swag at Ravencon to give away in my podcast. ROFL "Win a swag bag from Ravencon". Dorky, but hey... it's a sci-fi convention :)
Lady Ozma wrote: "Anyone else you like?..."I love JR Ward, Lora Leigh, Christine Feehan, Lara Adrian, Joey Hill, Stephenie Meyer, Sherrilyn Kenyon... gosh, I can't think to name them all off the top of my head. I love and read most of the popular PNR, and just got a taste of my first UF with A Rush of Wings by Adrian Phoenix, though I didn't see much diff between UF and PNR if that is what she truly is.
How exciting for you!
Okies, I'll look for any and all sorts of swag of that nature. :) I'm just gonna fill a giant bag of swag this weekend for that give away. :) So if something looks good, I'll let you know! At some point after my nervous breakdown. ROFL

The nervous breakdown is just too many things on my plate. It's just one fo those couple of months. Three costumes, 3 4 foot by 4 foot gardens, 9 books, homeschooling 2 boys, working on 1 podcast, 4 conferences, and a few dozen interviews...That's real easy math.
All of that = Oz has nervous breakdown. LOL
Lady Ozma wrote: "The nervous breakdown is just too many things on my plate. It's just one fo those couple of months. The 18 is doing the concurrent enrollment program at the Jr. College and has been since she turned 16.
That's so cool! I'm getting closer and closer to that stage. Mine will be 13 and 11 later this year. I can't believe it. Today they are working on a project about classical music. So I've got some relaxing music for all my sewing! HEHE Lucky for me they are old enough I can give them projects and take all this time for things other than official schooling. LOL
