Ew. Peanut Butter and Chocolate. That's disgusting. I just have to gripe about being, seemingly, the only person in the world who thinks that this a terrible combination. Two great tastes that DO NOT taste great together. There, I've said my piece and that's worth less than two cents.

Peanut Buster Parfait with peanuts, soft serve ice cream, and chocolate fudge. Not a Reece's Peanut Butter Cup. :)

Eric Westfall (eawestfall) | 386 comments My comments, as the world, i.e, the CD, well knows, are worth a minimum of USD .02.

The idea of mixing peanuts in any form with chocolate is utterly abhorrent. That, of course, is primarily because the taste of peanuts in any form is, to a refined and cultured palate such as the one belonging to moi, utterly abhorrent as well.

Chocolate, in all its many forms, is, quite naturally, utterly divine.

Ije the Devourer of Books | 14524 comments I have peanut butter hot chocolate. It is simply delicious. Yummy.

Lori S. (fuzzipueo) | 2809 comments LOL.
For the record, the above mentioned desserts are of the few ways I'll willingly eat peanuts. On the whole, I don't really like them otherwise. And strait up peanut butter gives me heartburn.

Monika | 2175 comments LOVE Peanut Butter LOVE chocolate but I don't like the two together.

All the DQ talk around here the other day made me crave DQ so I got a Banana Split then got razed from the servers and my husband (husband started it) because I have to have the chocolate sauce in the middle they all thought that was weird. I don't think that's weird at all.

message 6058: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Can I complain that since we don't have DQ here (not at least in lil' ol' Ludlow, it's cruel of you all to go on about it. I have to make do with peanuts and plain chocolate while watching episodes of QAF.

Are you watching QAF again or still? Making do with plain chocolate is so awfully difficult. Nuts!

Welcome Raina! Complain away. I certainly thought school inhaled to the extreme at times. Then I graduated and realized that things really do get better, especially once I got to college and into classes I actually enjoyed rather than just endured. As for life, that too can be annoying, but if you have the right people in your world, favorite places to escape to for a while, and a couple of pets around, it can be nice. It's the small things that count.

Take care and hope to see you join in the fun things here on the Complaint Department!

I actually fell asleep the other night about half way through episode 5 of season 3 ... I know Ethan lost the competition and that he received and turned down a record deal, but that's all I remember. I guess I'll just have to rewatch the episode. And yeah, I was eating some French Vanilla ice cream with Hershey's syrup at the time (I did finish the ice cream before I fell asleep though) ... >sigh<

Credit recovery. Ouch. More than 12 classes all at once? Really ouchy.

RP = role play right? I don't RP, but I'm sure there some here who do. My main pass time is reading and watching TV. :)

Ok, Lori. I might try that. As long as it doesn't have peanut butter. Ice Cream with peanuts I can accept, and enjoy. As they know at my favorite restaurant, Bangkok Kitchen in Maumee Ohio, where they have homemade coconut ice cream garnished with peanuts. A wonderful topper to an excellent meal. ;)

Grrr TJ it makes me mad (crazy) when nice people get sick. I certainly hope it's curable and that the treatments are not too horrible.

I can see the headline on Fox News now "TJ Escapes To See Mom". What a smart husband you have [sometimes] so take his advice and go see mom.

With affection and hope!

Hmmm. I think the moderators need to decide whether TJ's post truly complies with the rules of the department.

Is two months away from one's hubby an actual, valid, true complaint, or is it a thing of beauty, to be enjoyed forever, or 60 days, whichever comes first?

Inquiring minds wanna know.

message 6088: by Preston, Moderator (new)

Preston | 20148 comments TJ you have to excuse Eric he is disadvantaged because as an author he doesn't write gay for you, insta-love, happy-happy-happy rainbow colored sweet happily ever after love stories. I know this because I read a bunch and I actually had to think. Anyway he doesn't understand when your hubby puts on his cowboy boots and hat and climbs on the many horsepowered truck and rides off into the sunset.

message 6090: by Arcanum Noctis (new)

Arcanum Noctis (arcanum_noctis) I hate that I had to put my budgie to sleep because of cancer. He was the best budgie ever, he was completely tame and would even listen to commands.

I hate to know that in his last minutes he was scared like most pets are if you take them to the veterinary.

I hate that there was nothing I could have done to help him.

I hate that I have to find a new one now so my other budgie won't be alone. No budgie will ever compare (not that they should have to but ...). Also finding her a new partner will be very hard, she's old, moody and quite picky when it comes to other budgies.

I hate to have to listen to her calling him again and again, to no avail.

And sometimes I hate that I love my pets so much that it breaks my heart every single time to see them unhappy, sick or gone.

It's so very hard to lose a pet. I've had to do what you did only in my case I had to have an old dog put down. Pets are family. I'm sorry for the hurt you're going through.

message 6094: by Arcanum Noctis (last edited May 22, 2015 09:06PM) (new)

Arcanum Noctis (arcanum_noctis) Thank you (all of you) for your kind words.

@Preston:I am sorry to hear that...Especially dogs are pets who walk around among us as part of our family.

A few years ago I had to put my cat to sleep. He was a Maine Coon and therefore prone to CNI, like most long haired cats are. I didn't know it at the time my mom bought him, no book I read about cats talked about it or I would never have choosen a race that it prone to sickness. I don't support breeding sick animals no matter how pretty they look.

He got sick when he was just one year old but with special food he lived for a few more years without pain and all the symtoms that come along with CNI. But since it is chronical you can't stop the sickness forever and when the time came to put him to sleep I almost wasn't able to stay with him till the end. It broke my heart. At least my veterinary back then came to my home to do the deed so my cat would be able to go over the rainbow without fear and in a familar environment.

It still hurts to think of him, I loved my cat to death. He was my best friend and would follow me around wherever I went. His favourite sleeping place was me. I never wanted to have another pet after he died, since losing him hurt so much, but then one day I saw my female budgie through a window while taking a walk. She was all alone in a cage on a windowstill and looked horrible and sick. She almost had no feathers anymore. I couldn't just walk away, so I ringed the bell and talked the old lady whom my budgie belonged to into giving her to me. It took me more than one year to bring her back to health and counter the symtoms of her being alone for to many years (budgies are very social, they need at least one other budgie to be truly happy). She is still not completely "normal" but at least healthwise she made a full recovery :)

I never regreted the decision, my cat and my budgies brought/bring so much light into my life. But losing them never gets easier.

(Sorry for bad grammar and spelling. English isn't my native tongue)
