I hate to break it to you Preston but original Christianity condemmed homosexuality, till a bunch of priests came together and hypocritically decided to rewrite the rules to be more 'in with the times'. In the views held by most people today, that'd be a good thing but not sticking to your principles is a BAD thing!

P.S, do I sound baised? Cuz I'm NOT. Just pointing out how hypocritical most religions are.

I am sorry you did not comprehend my one sentence message 5244. I never mentioned "original Christianity" so it is irrelevant. I only wrote about some contemporary Christian churches and biblical quotes of Jesus.

Thanks for helping me clarify that.

I must complain that Roger didn't give out much information about What's A Boy Supposed to Do. Which of course is about world football (soccer) athletes who fall in love. Part of the blurb says,
"Billy Logan, star striker for the British Premier League football club, has everything a young man could want—except a life. And then handsome Spanish top-club player Adriano Márquez is signed to Stockborough and Billy’s life is turned upside down and every way around. It’s love at first sight, and amazingly it turns out to be the same for Adriano."
of course it is more complex than that because it involves a jealous crazy guy, duct tape, explosives and let's not forget soccer balls.

So I guess football/soccer can get get gayer than the video…thanks to Roger.

I must regretfully inform that Lori will soon be suffering from PCD (Post Con Depression): The feeling that you did not get to have as much fun as you wanted to while attending a convention and now that it is over you wish you could do it all over again - but you cannot.

Right now the standings are:

David Bowie 3 votes

Don't let your favorite singer down. Support them with you vote!

Roger Kean | 17278 comments I want to moan that I'm back home from sunny Portugal, and it's all grey and gloomy here. I'm also horrified at the number of emails and snailmails that have accumulated in two weeks. It's not right that I should need another vacation t get over the shock of being back…

message 5118: by Monika (new)

Preston | 20148 comments I regret Pat Robertson is at it again. Now he's saying gay men who are HIV+ are infecting straight men by shaking hands while wearing a ring that punctures and infects their victims with the HIV virus.

I don't think it's right that Roger suffers from PVD (Post Vacation Depression). It's just not fair.

Clearly what this group lacks is a place to complain about having to take vacations, because we all just want to take a vacation from taking our vacations.

message 5123: by Rick (new)

Rick | 15794 comments Can I complain that Pat Robertson is still able to speak in public? Wait does that mean I want to take away his right to speech? I hate having to stand up for an idiot's right to speak, even when he's spewing such ignorant hateful garbage.

Pat Robertson is BFFs with Satan!

(OK now I feel better)

Lori S. (fuzzipueo) | 2809 comments I must complain that due to work (it's the end of the month), I've been too busy to play in the Complaint Department. I further grouse that by not playing in the various fun threads, that I'm missing interacting with all of you fun people. Bah.

Pat Robertson and his 700 Club are still showing up nightly on ABC-Family and he's as scary a figure as he was when I was a child. A true ogre/boogeyman who actually exists. Only now when he talks he coughs a lot. I keep waiting for the proverbial lung to show up ...

Vacations are over rated. All you want to do when you get back from one is to have another. Not very productive y'know.

That's some kind of great awful same day service. And the only one that happened that way, I think.

Eric Westfall (eawestfall) | 386 comments Long day, so I'm too tired to fool with the strikeout fonts and italics to create some pizazz. I is all zazzed out. >sigh<

So, in keeping with the requirements imposed from on high:

I hereby whimper, whine, moan and complain that I now have my first-ever blog. (If I've already told you this, and you haven't paid attention...and you couldn't have because there was no sudden influx of a veritable horde of viewers...so sorry.)

Here's where you can find it:

http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...

Updates on story progress, eventually some notes on my reviewing standards (for once I start reviewing more), teasers, etc., etc. You know, just more Eric whine and wit (attempted).

Horde on over folks, and sit a spell.
