BarryP (barrypz) | 3503 comments If I read their calendar correctly Dorsey will be at RJ Julia in Madison CT Feb 22 2013 7:00 pm talking about his latest release, The Rip Tide Ultra Glide. Great reading for the absurdists among us.

BarryP (barrypz) | 3503 comments I net to see Dorsey today. As chaotic as the novels are, he plots them out several books in advance, so was talking about up coming adventures of Serge following in the footsteps of Peter Fonda in Easy Rider.
His love and enthusiasm for Florida come right through, as well as the thought that he was the walking tourguide to Florida that Serge is in his novels.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16993 comments How fun, Barry! And interesting that underpinning the chaos is some planning of structure. I always find it fascinating that each author is somewhat unique in their approach to plot and outline versus free form.

Good for you, Barry. I'm looking forward to our next outing at R Julia. still remember some memorable ones, like John Dunning. Wonder how he is doing?

carol and i were worried that we'd be the only ones at the dunning signing and while we were driving there, came up with a list of questions that we could ask him. of course when we arrived, the room was packed and we got the last two seats in the room..lol

Oh that's right, Sherry, I forgot about that! I do remember the extended conversation I had with him in the signing line about
Two O'Clock, Eastern Wartime, which I absolutely loved. In fact I think I'm ready for a re-read of that some day.

Ann (annrumsey) | 16993 comments Carol: Oh I agree, Two O'Clock, Eastern Wartime is a book that does rank a re-read (and in my mind, few do!)
