Favorite character?

My favorite character would be Napoleon. Napoleon was a great leader that emerged from the rebellion. He has brilliant tactics to show his superior. Using other animals to intimidate the farm animals and doing that shows how he is far more superior than snowball.

My favorite character was Boxer. He was such a great motivation for the other animals, even if he was part of a bad action. But he didn't know, so it didn't really matter. He was caring and helpful with everyone and would do anything for the animals and the farm. In real life, people like this inspire me to become a better person, because in their eyes, there's nothing better than the feeling of doing something good for someone else.

I feel like Boxer is my favorite character. He worked the hardest in the farm when trying to make the windmill. Even though boxer was very gullible he had kind heart. He always worked for the benefit of the farm. He also had a great personality. Boxer is a great character.

I think that my favorite character is boxer because he never gives up. a motto that he says is "work harder". he did so much for animal farm and even though he was hurt and sick, he would continue working. even though he had troubles learning his ABC, he was a dedicated and loyal worker. when he was helping with the windmill, he never gave up. he was as strong like two ordinary horses put together. he looked stupid because of his white mark on front of his face but he was a very helpful horse. boxer is very kind hearted and that is why he is my favorite character.

Boxer was my favorite character in Animal Farm. The reason for this is because he is very loyal and he works hard no matter what. He is a great character.

My favorite character was Benjamin. I felt like he was a really smart animal but he just simply stayed neutral to any side. He was also really wise and had his own beliefs about certain things. Benjamin was really different then the other animals he really didnt care much about anything.

My favorite character was Boxer. He never stopped working hard and trying his best to make a better out of the farm. He always had faith that Napoleon was going to make Animal Farm a better place. He just never gave up! That is why I admire boxer because he was dedicated and a hard worker.

My favorite character would be boxer. Boxer is a hard worker and follows directions. even though he followed directions from napoleon, which i hated that. boxer was one of the most trustful animal in Animal farm.

Boxer. I felt like he was the heart of the farm. Without him the farm would of fallen to pieces. Even though he gets killed in the end i felt like was still needed. He did the hardest work of the farm and he was brainwashed by the pigs. That is is why i liked boxer the most.

my favorite character was boxer. boxer was so loyal even though he was for the wrong reasons. boxer looks like he would be a good friend because he is respectful. boxer was a hard worker and he was so loyal to everyone on the farm. it such a shame that he had to die.

my favorite character i have to say was Boxer. i liked the way that boxer was strong and was always helpful in the farm. even though he was brain washed by napoleon, he always was faithful and nice. i was sad when he died because i thought it was real cruel that even after he was a great help to napoleon, he was the one who basically killed him. boxer was always willing to help even when the animals told him not to. boxer.

my favorite character is Boxer because he is a character that showed alot of heart and wassuch a hard worker and self motivated with his quote"i will work harder"

my favorite character was Snowball he was a good leader who cared for all the animals on the farm. he was smart and never lied to the animals. he was also well respected. even though they accused him of false testimonies, everyone knew that he didn't do anything wrong and that he always tried to do the right thing.

I liked Boxer because he is so representative of the common person who thinks hard work and dedication will pay off, then suffers the consequences of his delusion.

My two favourite characters are Boxer and Benjamin. Boxer was such a hard and dedicated worker and I was so sad when he didn`t get his retirement patch. Benjamin was trying to stay unnoticed.

The horse. He worked the hardest to make the farm a better place.

Boxer.

Benjamin, because he was the one who didnt change and he didnt get involved with others and always he was smart more than other animals.

Boxer

I think I liked Benjamin the best. He was a no-nonsense type. I can respect that.

F 25x33
Hany He was likeable in a sense that he was the wisest of all the animals excluding the pigs, of course.

Angela Not necessarily because the pigs were intelligently smart. I don't think the pigs could be considered wise ...more

My favorite character in this book is Benjamin. He was wise donkey :D

Boxer. He was such a hard worker who toiled for what he thought was the good of the other animals.

Squealer the pig. For how propaganda is pushed and the animals are brain washed!

Boxer. I was so sad how he died and by the end of the book I wished Napoleon was dead

Boxer.
"I will work harder."

snowball. because it is clever .

Benjamin's (the donkey) cynicism and long-term view reminded me of myself. His distrust in authority also struck a cord in me.

The horse because of his willingness to always work harder

I liked both boxer and Benjamin because although Boxer was hard-working he was just a victim and that's sth that we are facing in real life ; it's some how a rule that when a person wants to satisfy every one, becomes a victim . and I liked Benjamin because he was the most logical one and the other reason is that we all know donkey as a symbol of sth stupid but here it was a nice paradox

I was sure it was gonna be a landslide for Boxer (no pun intended), but I guess people are different.
"I will work harder" got to me.

It would be Benjamin , he knows how to read and understands what's Napoleons all about .

Squeler - the pig representing Molotov, he shows that the best way how to manipulate people is to change their mind. And that this can be done by speech. And the way he speaks is interesting and very funny.

boxer!!!! it was so sad what happened to him. i did not like this book however i did like this horse.

I like Boxer because he seems to be a representation of determination.

Justin wrote: "Favorite character?"

boxer or benjamin because they were fun to read about!

Why, Boxer, of course. He was the "ideal proletariat": trusting his leaders, believing in the revolution, giving it his heart and soul and finally unwilling to believe in its betrayal.

It is surprising to see anyone whose answer is Snowball, doesn't mention that Snowball is Trotsky. If you read by knowing that, you will get the book better.

I would say Benjamin... His attitudes and sayings always make me laugh ... and his indifference to whatever is going on.

Squealer. He was interesting. He played with words- limit terms of debate by simplifying language; confuse and intimidate by complicating it.If nothing works use jargon. Fascinating.

I liked Benjamin and the cat
Benjamin knew all along what was happening and going to happen, but it was horrible to see him just sitting there doing nothing with this knowledge and letting everyone else go through hell without changing a thing.
the cat was smart enough to get out of there and never come back.

Squealer- He is cunning but has a farce written all over him. He convinces every other animal that the change in commandments were just their dreams. We just meet so many people like Squealer everywhere who misconstrue the truth

I like snowball but I have to go with the raven. He doesn't show up much but he symbolizes religion which I think is neat and candy mountain is just plain funny to me. Maybe squealer because of his double speak. He and his comrades are funny.

Boxer. He reminded me of the normal citizen of one-party regimes, hardworking, honest and loyal, blindly believing the doctrine his government dictates. In one word - a victim.

Orwell doesn't really "do" characters! But Old Major has most to say and most that is interesting to say.

Clover it was for me as she often suspects the pigs of violating one or another of the Seven Commandments, although she had bad memory but she had the sense of wrong and that reminds me of what George Orwell wrote in his Novel 1984 :
" Always in your stomach and your skin there was sort of protest as feeling that you had been cheated of something that you had a right to "

I am not sure who I liked most.
I mean, the sheep singing their silly song were always a sign of good comic relief in an otherwise grim story.
I hated squealer.

I liked Benjamin the donkey. He was the only one who was not put under Napoleon's spell, so to speak, and he was a survivor. He did not raise his opinions against Napoleon, and I think this is why he lived so long. He stayed true to himself, he was independent, and he knew exactly where he stood.
I also admired Boxer but I wished he would have just listened to the others when they told him not to work so hard, or to not believe everything Napoleon said; Napoleon is not always right.
