Sapir Englard (alexapir) | 1 comments I'm looking for books which are urban fantasy (obviously), paranormal and centered on romance the most. I've already read:
Night Huntress
Night Prince
Psy/Changeling
Lords of the Underworld
If you have something similar to those - with sexy characters, mind-blowing romance, fantastic plot and such, I would like you to recommend me :)
BTW, I have already tried Demonica, Elder Races and Immortal After Dark and didn't really like it, so please recommend other :D

Marianne I would recommend Ilona Andrews's Edge series, starting with The Edge. It's not your dark UF series. It's more rural fantasy, I guess, but it does center around the romance and they are very very good. You can't go wrong with Andrews.

Lilith Saintcrow's Watcher series is also a series of romances. Very heavy on the romance here, more paranormal romance than UF with romance. Think of Sherrilyn Kenyon, where each book the plot is an excuse for them to get together. Still, I love Saintcrow. Hard to find, though.

And then, of course, there's Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter series. Greek gods and goddesses and hot kick-ass males. Each book is a different set of characters, like the Watchers. There's enough of those in print to keep you reading for ages.

ladymurmur | 73 comments Lynsay Sands Argeneau Vampire series is definitely PN and definitely romance. :-) One of the more unusual takes on the vampire mythos that I've read, and the books are just pure fun.

Loreny | 3 comments Then I recommend the Fever series of Karen Marie Moning
A strong male character and a kick ass heroine

Tasula | 150 comments We all have our likes and dislikes, so I hope you will find some suggestions that you like. I second the Fever series of Moning, but Kenyon and Sands are not for me. For romance oriented series that have action as well, try:
Andrews, Ilona Magic Bites
Armstrong Kelley Bitten
Arthur, Keri Full Moon Rising
Black, Jenna The Devil Inside
Briggs Patricia Moon Called
Brook, Meljean Iron Duke
Chance Karen Midnight's Daughter
Clamp, Cathy see C T Adams Touch of Evil, Moon's Web, Howling Moon
Davidson MaryJanice Undead and Unwed (hilarious)
Harris Charlaine Dead Until Dark,
Lee, Jade Desperate Tigress, Dragonborn
Liu Marjorie
Rowland, Diana Blood of the Demon
Saintcrow Lilith Working for the Devil
Sunny Mona Lisa Awakening
Wilks Eileen Tempting Danger

I loved that series even though I found Mac very annoying. It is simply written in a way that you cannot put it down. You are lucky that all 5 books are already out. I had to wait over a year between the 4th and 5th book and that cliff-hanger ending nearly drove me crazy!

Susan Stec (thegratefulundead) | 95 comments Love Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series: http://www.amazon.com/Moon-Called-Mer...

I've read it out - waiting for the new release in March.

If you want LOL romance: Katie MacAlister's Dark Ones Novels: http://www.amazon.com/Bring-Your-Dead...

Or her dragon series: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_nos...

Not sure how to link yet but the Sookie Stackhouse Series by Charlaine Harris could interest you. On the romance front, well I'm still trying to fill the void Eric left haha! He is quite the man! There are mainly vampires in the first book but the later books feature shifters, weres, demons and fairies. Maybe check out some reviews and see what you think? :)

Anna | 23 comments The books are 'softer' than the True Blood tv series.

Briggs' Alpha and Omega spin off series is based around a were-couple so a bit heavier on the romance than Mercy Thompson. (Though its still UF)

Never watched the series! Must look it up on player :)

Christine | 752 comments Shannon K. Butcher's Sentinel Wars series has a pretty good blend of an UF-type plot with steamy romance. The first book is a little slow while you figure out the world she's building, but the story becomes more complex and intriguing as the series grows. First book is:
Burning Alive (Sentinel Wars, #1) by Shannon K. Butcher

If you like dark and gritty, I LOVE the Downside Ghost series by Stacia Kane. It's definitely UF, but there is romance there that builds over the first few books. Love me some Terrible.
Unholy Ghosts (Downside Ghosts, #1) by Stacia Kane

Brianna | 36 comments I second Downside Ghosts.

Lauren (laurenjberman) I second the Sentinel Wars - the series is very underrated.

I'll third it! It's very gritty, though. I wasn't 100% satisfied with the way things ended on book #1, but I want to know more.

I agree, Christine...Terrible is terrific!
