What did you think of AKM? Were you already thinking about the other books in the series and the people in them? Or were you disappointed in it? Were there parts that stuck with you either in a good way or bad way?

Cara Villar | 6 comments I have to admit I am disappointed. there are so many parts of this book that could have ben expanded on, or thst should have been left out entirely. came across a little like... well, too many ideas than was entirely needed. excess baggage. I am going to read the next book though, to see if the writer has improved, but if not, I don't think I'll be reading another AKM.

Avidreader07 | 7 comments I liked the book. It was a bit choppy and didn't have the flow that I like in other books that I've read, but I liked it. I agree with Cara that I wished some parts would have been expanded on to help us to be able to connect with the characters more. That being said, I feel that it was a good pick up when you have time read, not necessarily a stay up late missing sleep read. I will read the next AKM book.

Definitely great points! Something I didn't initially realize is that this author is self published, so, looking back, many of these little inconsistencies are clear hallmarks of that. I felt like Fallen was a great freshman effort and has a solid universe to support future stories in the series. I've read all the ones that have been published to date and feel like they do get more polished with each one. I think the author also realizes that since she pour out a short story to wrap up loose ends after Heart of the Warrior (Micah's Calling).

I agree I definitely enjoyed the book however I agree I do wish there were more part more filled out. I want to know more about the history. I do enjoy the jump right in, but I would have like a little more pre-story. I did enjoy the book and will read the rest of the series. I have heard nothing about the good things about the series so I will keep reading. I did enjoy the characters I just want more :) I am greedy lol.
