Diana Alexander (dalexander) Hi all,

Has anyone noticed that their amazon tags have disapeared as of this morning? The tags for The Never King are gone on amazon.com, but are still there on Amazon UK. I am more than a wee bit miffed a more than one person has let me know that they found the book (and probably wouldn't have found it other wise) based on searches using one of more of the tags. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this...

Amazon tags disappeared a while ago. I'm surprised you still have them on Amazon UK. I read that Amazon decided to get rid of the tag system, but I don't know exactly when they started to be removed. Maybe it's happening faster for some books than others, because my books haven't had tags for a while (that I've noticed). Sorry, it's just the way it is :(

Diana Alexander (dalexander) Not only do I have them on Amazon UK but up until yesterday I had them in the US. I think it's an odd decision by amazon - obvioiusly amazon gets a cut of each book sold. If amazon prevents customers from discovering potential reads it hurts amazon almost as much as the author. Wierd.

I found a thread on Kindleboards about this you might find interesting. It's not too long, and offers another solution.

Diana Alexander (dalexander) A very interesting read - thank you, Mona. I will miss my tags :-(

Chris Galford (galfordc) | 30 comments Honestly surprised there wasn't more of a fuss from folks when they started disappearing...but then, it was fairly quiet, as such things go. At least they still allow keywords.

Joshua Johnson | 4 comments In my experience, tags didn't really do much. My novel was top 10 in Epic Fantasy tags and I never saw a bump from it, despite the popularity of this subgenre.
