Post whether or not you made it here! Congrats to everyone that did. And to everyone that didn't, great job to you too. We should all be proud. Entering this contest was nerve wrecking! I'm happy to be apart of this group, we can celebrate or carry-on together.

And I'll start off...
I'm happy to say I made it :)

message 3: by A.E.M. (new)

A.E.M. A.E.M. I didn't, but I'm not upset in the least. Moving on to the next plan! I will never regret entering, it was fun to get ready for it, and it helped me tremendously as far as learning about submitting, etc... Congrats to those who moved on!

Lisa | 5 comments I made the cut too. :-)

S.E. Duncan | 47 comments Saw your name Mikhail, congrats! I made it too. For once in my life I have no words to express how I'm feeling right now lol!

message 6: by Wilson (new)

Wilson Harp | 8 comments Did not make it this year. Will write a stronger pitch next year for one of the novel I will write this year. But in the meantime, back to writing novels.

message 7: by Carolynn Amara (new)

Carolynn Amara | 14 comments Congrats to you guys!!! It has to be an awesome feeling! :)

message 8: by Amy (new)

Amy Martin | 6 comments I made it. :) Congrats to everyone who did, and to those who didn't--don't give up. Your pitch may have hit the wrong reader on the wrong day. Keep writing and dreaming!

message 9: by Massimo (new)

Massimo Marino | 14 comments Congrats who made it. Rooting for you guys.
My pitch didn't work :)

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

I made it. Had another girly moment of crying and for once didn't give a rodent's behind that I did. Congrats to all who did. For those who did not, I am personally humbled because I honestly believe the cuts were very close. This is definitely a "There for the grace of God go I kind of thing."

message 11: by Jenelle (new)

Jenelle Didn't make it, but congrats to those who did! I just enter because I love "meeting" all you lovely fellow authors over the course of the contest. Will be rooting for y'all from the sidelines!

message 12: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth | 4 comments I made it with Ice Feathers. Congrats to all others who did, and commiserations to those who didn't.

message 13: by Jules (new)

Jules (julesliveshere) | 14 comments Didn't make it through. Oh well.

Congrats to those who did!

message 14: by Laura (new)

Laura Brown | 7 comments Congrats to those that made it in!

I'm not one of the lucky few, already sent out a query to keep moving forward.

message 15: by Nichole (new)

Nichole Naumann (NicholeNaumann) | 2 comments If You Come To California made it to the second round. Really happy. I needed something to cheer me up!

message 16: by Studio (new)

Studio Dongo (studiodongo) | 22 comments Studio Dongo made it through the pitch round.

Congrats to everyone (both those who made it and those who were cut) on getting a novel submitted for 2013.

message 17: by Ada (new)

Ada Winder (adawinder) | 7 comments I made it! :) Pretty exciting.
Congrats to others who made it through this round as well, and commiserations to those who didn't (this time). x

message 18: by Suneeta (new)

Suneeta Misra (suneetamisra) | 2 comments Hi, I just stumbled on this group. I made the first cut and I am hoping against hope that I get into the quarter final list. Good Luck to everyone.

message 19: by J. (last edited Feb 14, 2013 02:20PM) (new)

J. Ay (jnaomiay) | 31 comments Surprised to discover I made it with The Boy who Lit up the Sky. I forced myself not to turn on the iPad and look in the middle of the night.

message 20: by Ella (new)

Ella Stradling (ixtila) | 7 comments Congrats to those who made it. I'm out, so back to the query train for me. And time to get to work on the two novels I want to write this year... :)

message 21: by Maryann (new)

Maryann Rizzo | 13 comments I didn't make it. I realize it was only my pitch that didn't make it, not my book. Excerpt from book has received relatively good reviews from individuals which gives me hope for book itself. Now, I just need to work on promoting the book. That is hard.

message 22: by Laura (new)

Laura Pascucci | 16 comments I didn't make it. But I am so happy for those who did. I can't wait to read all of your books.

message 23: by Nikki (new)

Nikki Bennett (nabennett) | 13 comments Nope, didn't make it. Never leave the title of your book out of your pitch, people! :D I blame my expulsion totally on that mistake (whether it's the cause or not.)

Congratulations to everyone who did make it, I know I'll be rooting for ya!

message 24: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Menten (mmenten) | 8 comments Congrats to those who made it! I didn't, but will be busy getting ready to query. Just wish I knew whether my pitch really wasn't good enough, or just hit the wrong reader.

message 25: by A.E.M. (new)

A.E.M. A.E.M. Melissa, my guess is it just wasn't read by the right person. I look forward to buying your book someday...in whatever format it comes out in. :).

message 26: by Dan (new)

Dan | 22 comments Midnight Departure made the first cut in Mystery/Thriller genre. Congrats to all regardless, you wouldn't have written a book in the first place if you are easily discouraged. Also will be considering the Writers Digest Competition though there is a nominal entry fee of I think $30, its on their website. Anybody have thoughts on that?

message 27: by Laura (last edited Feb 13, 2013 09:52PM) (new)

Laura Libricz (lauralibricz) | 17 comments I made the first cut. If I hadn't, I was going to spend the weekend working out, cleaning, shopping, cooking, (*drinking*) and take two weeks off from writing. Lent was going to have to wait!

I am reading your book Phoenix Incandescent right now and I am really loving it. I think that sometimes a pitch is not enough to show how good a book is.

message 31: by A.E.M. (new)

A.E.M. A.E.M. Thanks, Laura, that means a lot to me!

I'm reading my third book from this group so far...a reader's dream come true...a room full of treasure in the form of books!

message 32: by Dwight (new)

Dwight Okita (dwightokita) My sci fi book The Hope Store made the cut. Good luck to all, whether advancing or not!
