Emily felt something, like her heart burning, and coughed. "What is this?" she repeated.
"I'm fine!" she screamed. "Headband? What. The. Hell. Is. Wrong. With. Shaid?" her eyes flew around madly and she looked like she belonged in an asylum.
"Emily!" He slipped his arm around her. "Calm down! What're you talking about with your headband?" Keeping his voice calm and steady
Where?" Sarah screeched. "A forth? Would it have been a replacement of the armour? That didn't survive, did it? What is the item? Who has the item? Where?"
She clenched her fists as gravity appeared. "What do I do? Braden, the ancient, what are the ancients? They've possessed him or something."

"Your ring Braden! Ask the ring!"
((Okay. Sarah only knew the staff, headband, armour, and was there a sword or no?))
((I thought I remember something of that. I must be off to bed now.))
((All right. Was the armour destroyed?))
"Ask the goddamn ring for help!" she yelled. "I know it seems crazy, but it could be no less than insane to work. Ask. The ring. For help."
"Shaid," her voice was choked.
She bit her lip. "Headband, do we have to kill him?''
He yanked his hand away from the flames.
((Definitely male, there are too many random girls who talk to him XD))

"What the heck?!" he shrieked. Startled by the sudden contact with his mind and not a little freaked out.
Emily crawled under the table. "If he dies, they won't have a host," she whispered.
Emily shook her head quietly. "No. Nonono."
She looked mad, repeatedly shaking her head, knees pulled up to her chest, sitting under a table and whispering it over and over. "No. No. Nonono."
Emily met his gaze, unblinking. Tears running down her face.
He held her. "It's okay," he whispered. "I promise it's going to be okay. Please--please stop crying." His voice cracking.
She nodded, wiping the tears. "If the headband says to kill him, I'm going to have to, you know?"
Sarah felt more tears. "He doesn't want to be like her," she whispered. "Like V. Being inside her head killed a part of him. He would want me to get rid of the ancients in any way, even if it meant his death. He doesn't see it anymore."
She slid her ring off her finger and pocketed it, wiping away more tears. She crawled out from under the table. She hugged Braden, trying not to cry.
"I know you do. Always." Her mind wandered to Braden rubbing her shoulders, then Shaid, she thought of the bathroom mirror, you could see a reflection of Shaid's bedroom, and the book on the nightstand. She had seen it when was getting clothes from his closet. "The journal."
She nodded. "Okay, then what do we do?"
She shook her head. "No...No jumping to conclusions. There has to be something else..."
Braden thought about it. He'd thought it before, hadnt he, in the garden? And, if Shaid was a danger to Emily anyway... But she'll hate me for it.
"I don't want to look. You will have to if it comes to that."
((Same. I'm at school.))
"All right." If we have to kill him what will I do?
