Alyssa Devine | 20 comments Today I have published a special edition of my novel, The Hypnotist, for readers with dyslexia.

Please provide:
* Title: The Hypnotist: Special Edition for Readers with Dyslexia
* Author(s) name(s): Alyssa Devine
* ISBN (or ASIN): 9781514789339
* Publisher: Amazon shows the publisher as CreateSpace Independent Publishing Platform (but the book is a product of my own imprint, TJC Press; perhaps we should be consistent with how you have treated the regular version of the novel)
* Publication date: July 1, 2015
* Format: Paperback
* Description
* Link to cover on a NON-BOOKSELLER site, such as a publisher site, an author site, etc. Actually, you will find the cover for the special edition on Alyssa Devine's author site (it's the cover on the right).

I think this is everything. Thanks so much for your help.

Theodore Jerome Cohen (aka Alyssa Devine)

Alyssa Devine | 20 comments Whoops, I forgot the Description:

This is a special edition intended for readers with dyslexia
When, on an afternoon outing in Bayou Vermilion, Lafayette, LA, teenager Amanda Wilcox has her fortune read by Madam Zu-Zu, she and her classmate, Tom Lassiter, never thought it would lead to her having a nightmare in which she dreamed she was being choked to death. Under hypnosis, Amanda reveals to Tom that she once was a woman named Kyla Decker, who disappeared 25 years earlier after being stopped by a policeman while driving home early one morning after partying with her girlfriends. An Internet search reveals the name of another woman, Cindi Lathrop, who disappeared some years after Decker under similar circumstances. As their relationship blossoms, Amanda and Tom uncover evidence linking a former Lafayette, LA, policeman and a funeral home employee to the abductions, men who they suspect murdered the two women. But then, in what appears to be a real-life enactment of what the fortune teller told Amanda, the teenagers find their lives threatened by one of the two men they think was responsible for the murders committed 25 years earlier. Can the teenagers survive, knowing the last of the five tarot cards read to Amanda by Madam Zu-Zu was Death?
Educators and librarians: The Hypnotist has a LexileTM measure of 930L.

If TJC Press is what's in the book, that's what should be in the publisher field IMO.

What is the page count?

message 5: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa Devine | 20 comments 314 pages. And thanks. (Yes, on the copyright page, my imprint, TJC Press, Wood Bridge Division, is shown as the publisher.)

Alyssa Devine | 20 comments Thanks so much for your help, lethe. Ted

Alyssa Devine | 20 comments Will the book also show in my books on this page?

lethe | 16368 comments It is one of the three editions of The Hypnotist. If you want the special edition to be the default, you can make it so by going to the book page: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2..., and clicking on 'edit details'. Scroll halfway down the edit page, there should be an option on the right-hand side to set this edition as the default.

Due to caching, it may take up to 48 hrs to show as the default on all pages.

Alyssa Devine | 20 comments Okay, I understand. No, let's leave things as they are...only one person in five is dyslexic, so we'll leave the regular edition out there as the default.

Many thanks for your quick work.

Ted

Alyssa Devine | 20 comments One last question...how come, when another edition is selected, the cover of the special edition is not shown along side the third edition. That is, the special edition is shown as the default (blank) cover instead of the cover for the special edition? Does it take some time for these things to catch up?

message 12: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa Devine | 20 comments Oh, yes...I just saw, in the description, that Vermilion is spelled incorrectly. Can you correct it to show only one 'l'...Vermilion? Thanks. It should be okay in the special edition, but not in the two regular editions.

message 13: by lethe (new)

lethe | 16368 comments Have changed it to Vermilion in all 3 descriptions, even though it hurts my eyes ;-)

message 14: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa Devine | 20 comments Hahahaha...and the missing cover for the special edition...is there a reason it doesn't show on this page when one of the regular editions is selected?...all I see is the default (blank) cover vice the special cover (the little thumbnail cover)

lethe | 16368 comments Sorry, I had missed comment #11. That is indeed due to caching. If you look at the editions page, you see all 3 editions with their covers.

Alyssa Devine | 20 comments Roger, that. BTW, did you see that the publisher is different in all there cases LOL Amazon really screws things up. On the Kindle edition, I had my digital conversion house in Iowa develop the mobi file, which I uploaded myself to Amazon.com. Amazon didn't do a darn thing. (;>) But I appreciate the credit on the special edition.

I sincerely appreciate your help. Have a great day.

Ted
