I loved this book growing up and am trying to patiently wait for my children to be old enough to enjoy this book too.

I haven't decided what my Childhood Book will be. This is on the list, but it also fits my "Made You Cry" category. What to do, what to do.

I have chosen this one too for this category, I have never read the book before but this book remind me of my childhood because I used to watch this movie very often when I was a child :-)

I read this book numerous times growing up and I cried every time. This was an easy choice for this week's category. LOVE this book!

I just read in Wikipedia that the author didn't like the version of the movie that I loved so much :( (Hanna Barbera's 1973 version), his reason and I quote "The story is interrupted every few minutes so that somebody can sing a jolly song. I don't care much for jolly songs".
