2015 Harlequin Presents Readers Create Your Own Challenge

Duration: 1 July - 31 December 2015

Introduction: For our July to December challenge, you can make up your own challenge.

Rules? Just a Few:

1. Books should be read between July 1st and December 31st. (Yes, you can go back to the beginning of July and count any books read on July 1st through July 5th).
2. A book may only count once for the challenge.
3. Books should be slated for the Harlequin Presents line (Mills and Boon title overseas but released as Harlequin Presents) in the United States.
4. Group members may sign up at any time or change their challenge at any time through 11:59 pm December 31st.
5. List the book read, the author, the date read and how it meets your challenge requirements.

Suggestions:

1. You could do a spell it out!
2. You could read according to themes.
3. Do you have any suggestions? I'll add them to the list!

Katie: Descending Numbers Challenge
Gege86: A to Z Hero/Heroine Name Challenge
Pam: Countries/Continents
Danielle: Favorite Themes

Challenge Participants

*KatieV
*Danielle TBH
*Gege86
*Pam
*Aisha
*Sara

message 2: by KatieV (new)

KatieV | 141 comments Maybe a descending numbers type of challenge where you set your own goal. For example do themes, authors, eras (80s HPs, 90s HP s, 2000s etc) or any combo.

Example - goal 15 books

5 books by Lynne Graham
4 books by Michelle Reid
3 books by Jacqueline Baird
2 books by Charlotte Lamb
1 book by Robyn Donald

Welcome, Aisha. Keep in mind that only Harlequin Presents books count for this challenge. You could probably count the 5th Avenue series, but Duets wouldn't count because they are in the HP line. :)

message 12: by Pam (last edited Aug 02, 2015 10:04AM) (new)

Pam | 258 comments Ok i have decided to see how many different HP books set in different countries that I can read. I will start at 15 before i start the list over. When I start list over the books setting can not be from the same city. Examples Italy-venice and Tuscany, France-Paris And Rivera or Australia-Sydney And a Outback cattle station. One of the reasons i have Love for Harlequin Presents is i get to visit all these fabulous countries i may never see in reality. Plus this helps the TBR pile.

Pam | 258 comments I will be including some fantasy counties such as Barovnia or Illyria I love these new exciting places with some kind of royal or political unrest

I mean duets from,HP authors, like The Notorious Greeks by Lynne Graham. Those can't be included in the challege even if they're HP??

P.s.: Thanks for the welcoming :)

Oh that's fine. I misunderstood. Thought you were talking about the Harlequin Duets series line. Sorry!

message 18: by Sara (new)

Sara Claridge (saraclaridge) I've just joined the challenge. I'm using Pam's international theme but have just limited it to HP Italian heros because they're my favorites. My biggest challenge wont be reading the books, it will be finding one I haven't read!

message 19: by Pam (new)

Pam | 258 comments I really am enjoying this international theme. I have learned about some new places (that are real places) like The Bailiwick of Giersney. I had to look it up very interesting island.
