Does anyone out there like cal?

Oh yes. You have no idea how many maven/ mare (AKA marven) shippers there are. On tumblr, the majority of it is all marven lovers and on Instagram as well. Even on here if you look at the other arguments, you can tell the difference. I'm glad that there are still a nice amount of cal and made shippers though

A lot of the fans pick out the "cute" moments they had and they completely forget that MAVEN RUINED HER LIFE (even more than it already was that is) think about the outcome of Maven wouldn't have sided with his mother. It could have been TOTALLY different

I thought that Mare had more romantic moments with Cal than she did with Maven. It might just be me that thinks that because I dont like Maven at all and have just erased all the "Good" that he did from my mind.

Personally, I knew there was something up with Maven from the beginning. He was weird. And it was extremely clear that Cal and Mare liked each other.

So the idea of Mare even considering being with Maven was strange especially since her attraction was towards his brother the whole time.

Exactly! I too felt that Mare and Cal hate more chemistry than Mare and Maven. And right now their lives have been completely destroyed and I think that as they get closer they will help each other pick up the pieces.

Belle people who have (at times) critical opinions are thoughtfully considering all the elements of a great novel. Don't sideways diss someone for disagreeing with you. We can all have different opinions and that's perfectly fine because we are all different people. Overall I liked the book.

In no way was I trying to diss you. I just meant that we should respect all writers and the way they tell their stories. Because we all have a little writer inside of us. Of course all writers want to please their readers, but they want to please themselves as well, because whats the point of them writing when they hate the end result thats not why they chose that career path. I believe that Victoria will end this book by her choosing and go into more detail about her characters as the series progresses, because it it so hard to pack so much information into one book as is.

I love Cal! I love that he isn't that normal book guy that's perfect... too perfect more times than not. I think the fact that he has moments where we don't necessarily want to like him makes him that much better & more realistic of a character.

I've liked Cal since the beginning. And then when Mare and Maven started getting closer I was like... Okay, I guess. But then that ending and I was like "WHooo Team Cal is back in business!" I don't feel like Mare ever REALLY loved Maven, I think she was falling in love with him but I think she was head over heels with Cal.

I think she was forced to feel whatever the court wanted her to feel. None of these feelings are her own. Once they go to the new place. Her feelings will most likely become her own.
