This is one of my favorite books I've read this year.I love the story about Emily and her personal growth though out the summer. Sloane gives her the list of things that she knows Emily isn't comfortable doing but Emily still does them because she wants her friend to come back. Finding love and new friends are a great part of this story. Without living in Sloane's shadow, Emily is able to because her own person and find who is truly is without her best friend there. Even though I've read the book a few months ago, I think I'm going to again to refresh my memory and cause I loved the book so much.
I really, really liked this book! It was great to be able to see Emily's growth and I loved her interactions with Frank and with Beckett. I also liked Emily's parents, even if they were AWOL for most of the book. I'm not 100% in love with the ending though. I wanted to see more resolution when it came to Emily's friendship with Dawn and Collins, so I think the book could have used an extra chapter or two on that end. I also wasn't a fan of Sloane's reason for just disappearing like she did or how easily she and Emily made up, but it wasn't horrible.

And they all were friends. And even if it isn't written it's better to imagine it like that(:

Agreed!! I wanted to know what happened with Dawn and I wanted to see Emily's phone call to Sloane the next day. I wanted to see Frank and Collins and Dawn and Emily be a group again. I would love a companion novel about Collins or Dawn or Sloane! Anything with these characters -- I'm not ready to part with them.
