"How have you been?" She locked the car.
"Alright I guess.. How have you been?" He asked
"You tell me." She looked at him.
"Probably not happy that I took you to the hospital."
She sighed, choosing to not reply
He nodded," that's what I thought."
She rolled her eyes and started to walk.
He shook his head a little bit and followed her
She zipped up her jacket, sparing a glance at him.
"Nothing." She muttered under her breath.
"What are we going to do now?" She asked after a bit.
Dustin shrugged a little bit," I'm not sure Kaya just take everything one day at a time."
"One day at a time? I don't even have that many days left." She blurted out.
He frowned," Okay well still one day at a time live in the moment."
She huffed out in irritation. "How could you be so calm?"
He stared at her," What do you mean calm I have to watch my best friend get mad at me for trying to make her feel better."
She rolled her eyes. "I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at...I'm just freaking out, okay?"
He looked at her," You are too mad at me... You know I don't really care if you are mad at my I just know that I'm happy that I didn't have to go into your room one day to find you dead."
"You never know what the future brings." She shot back, regretting it as soon as she said it.
Dustin frowned deeply," don't say that."
"Well, its true isn't it?" She shrugged.
She sighed. "I don't know what to do Dustin. What do I do?"
Dustin shrugged," I don't know Kaya."
"Lets just get to class. We'll be late." She turned away.
"Okay I'm following you."He answered
"Following me?" She let out a laugh.
He rolled his eyes a little "you wish." He answered
"Stalker." She muttered, rolling her eyes.
"Whatever you love me." He answered poking her gently
"Yeah, right." She snorted, blushing lightly.
"You do or you wouldn't have kept me around all these years." He replied
"Kept you? You followed me everywhere!" She laughed.
"Okay fine for a little whole I did."
"You wish I was in love with you." She rolled her eyes.
"Yes, you do, that's why you suggested it." She smirked
"No I said that you loved me." He answered," Bot that you were in love with me."
"You would know." She shook her head and continued walking.
"Well it's hard to explain." He answered
"I'm listening." She said with vague interest
"You are even laying attention to me... In love is like when you want to be with that person forever and marry them. Just love is like friendship where I just want you to be happy or safe."
