When you say "Remember, only books read in round 2 may be counted towards goals in round 2." what exactly does this mean?
I started a book last night, but won't have it finished until ..."
You can use it! I double checked on that more than once because I started a few really long books this week and I wasn't able to finish them before the end of the first round, lol. The start date doesn't matter at this point, you can claim it whatever round you complete the book (provided you didn't start before the games even began on August 2nd).
The goal thing just means that if you finished a book a couple of days ago during round 1, and never used it for a goal, you can't use it now for a goal that pops up in round 2. Only books finished after the start of round 2 can be used at this point.

Thanks Denise :)

Correct :)

Castle definition:
a large building, typically of the medieval period, fortified against attack with thick walls, battlements, towers, and often a moat.
So the forbidden city works for me in fitting that definition

Yes, that's enough green.

Thank you Amanda!

Will this one work for green cover?

Yes. It's green

I'm waiting for him to take his shirt off :)
Sorry about reading wrong book. I hope it was at least good one.

I'm ok with in the knees. The sentiment is the same.

Would "Knees weak from more long the long rest"
Work?"
I'm ok with this one too. It's the same purpose of the phrase.

So my team had a goal: "Read a book that is ranked 301-400 in bestsellers on book depository (http://www.bookdepository.com/bestsel...)".
Yesterday when I checked the site,..."
I'll check with the other mods. I don't know what the original intent was.

Anyway, maybe you should really wait for task-writer's ruling.

"I'll email you the recipe [...] It's just hash browns, cubed ham, sour cream and Cheddar cheese. The secret is cream of chicken soup."
Or does it have to have the exact quantities of the ingredients?

Would this work ?
Goal : Read a book with the phrase "weak at the knees" in a book
Book Read : Stardancer
Sentence : The instant she saw who followed, Kinara's knees went weak..'

Yes, that's fine.

One of the team has read blood and snow
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
there are meant ions of a castle in another realm that Snow enters
Page 106 …other realm, her realm. I stood on a balcony in a large white castle ..
Page 111 ... my legs so I sat opposite him on the bed. We were still in the castle in …
will this work?
If not is Palace an acceptable substitute for Castle as someone is reading book with character living in a palace

Many books have "a novel" on the cover but not in the title, for example:
Normal
All the Light We Cannot See
My Sister's Keeper
Gone Girl
Everything I Never Told You
And I found info in the librarians group that adding "a novel" to the goodreads title is an error and will be removed by a librarian:

For the task 'read a book with a dinosaur' would a book with someone digging up fossils and dinosaur skeletons work - something like this The Fossil Hunter: Dinosaurs, Evolution, and the Woman Whose Discoveries Changed the World?

Yes I think that's fine

Word hunt: If it counts (only says recurve, not recurve bow)
"The fact that you didn't hear the bow go off probably means it's a recurve. A compound crossbow 'twangs' its release."

Word hunt: If it counts (o..."
I think we've been going with the "it either has to match the word exactly or be talking about the item" So in this case recurve would work for it.
