Reading too much IMO is when it interferes with your family and job. Other then that I don't really think why you can't read as much as you please.
Nah, I think reading too much is not a thing...If you haven't read "Education of a Wandering Man" by Louis L'amour I suggest you do..if you are in to memoirs that is.This guy read over hundred of books and plays every year and he seemed pretty happy with it and got so much out of it.
As long as you can follow your reading and not just read in between the lines I think it's ok.
The more you read, the more you know and are aware of what is around you, for some people knowing more brings them unhappiness because we often see that the people who know less tend to be more happy.
"The more you know the more unhappy you are"-Henry James
I don't think you should think in lines of "is this too much" if it brings you joy and you are not hurting anyone by doing it then there is no harm.
Sorry this was longer that expected :D
Hmmmm, a better question is how much time do you spend on reading vs. study time on your mathematics? I think Tmath should be > Treading. At least now when you are a student. Once you are finished with your studies than your Treading can increase by Treading^y if you wish.
Yes. But it's alright as long as you're reading the books for themselves and not just to finish them. Personally, I don't understand how you read more than one book ALL OF THE TIME! I can only say I'm impressed. And of course, as many before me have said, don't let it get in the way of your life!
How much is 'too much' depends largely on the individual. If and when you feel like putting a book down, do so. If it hampers necessary activities of any nature, it may be too much.In your case, (you're studying), you could judge it by results. Ensure that it doesn't interfere with any other undertakings either, then read as much as you wish, as often as you wish.

If its not too much for you then its fine. I have been reading alot this year, that I haven't watched tv!
I don't believe you can read too much, as reading gives you the power to obtain knowledge and there's never a limit to that. If you are, however, reading more while neglecting things that are important, it's time to balance things out.
I am one of the addicts and I don't think there's any such thing as ''reading too much. But yes,you should keep a responsible head over your shoulders.
Whether one is reading "too much" should be determined more by the quality, rather than the quantity, of what is being read. Further, as long as all other time demands on your attention are satisfied, there is nothing wrong with investing as much of the remaining time in reading as you want.

In my case, I have 5 books lying on the table. Here is how my days are structured:
Day 1: read 10 pages from two books. Learn language #1 (25 minutes). Do math for an hour.
Day 2: read 10 pages from two-three books. Learn language #2 (15 minutes). Do math for 40 minutes.
Weekends are generally more relaxed and I tend to do just reading and no math (I am currently a math major). So, is this considered reading too much? What is your definition of reading too much? If it happened to you, what are some consequences and benefits?
