Adam Spencer Ross, aka Batman, is the unofficial leader of an OCD teen therapy group. His own OCD grows progressively worse throughout the book due to his mother's hoarding problem. I really liked this book, it was a great look at what it would be like to truly suffer from OCD (not just what people say they have when they like things neat and tidy.) Of course, there is a love interest too, another member of the group, and the paradox of their recovery times and reasons for their descent into the clutch of OCD is interesting as well. Although I have not experienced what these kids have, there was much I related to in the book. It seemed authentic and was a great look at how people dealing with serious mental health issues live with difficulties that most people never face.
