Adam Carter | 14 comments Not sure if I'm posting in the right thread, but was wondering whether anyone could help. I have 3 ratings (a 5 star, a 4 star and a 2 star). My average has therefore been something like 3.6. I haven't checked goodreads for a while but went on yesterday and found my average rating has dropped to 2.33, but no one's given me any more ratings so I should still be on 3.6

It's a bit annoying since it's likely putting people off, seeing that my average rating is 2.33, when in reality I'm nowhere near that low. Even if someone's given me a 1 star rating which for some reason isn't showing, that would still be an average of 3. For it to be 2.33 I would have to have received three 1 star ratings that aren't showing, so for some reason goodreads is registering that I have a 5 star rating, a 4 star, a 2 star and 3 one stars. Since I don't have any 1 stars at all, it's unfair.

Would appreciate if anyone has any ideas. Thanks.

Philip (burnnerman) | 5912 comments Librarians cannot help with that, but if I look at your author page it shows you with a 4.65 rating.

If you have problems with it, you would need to contact support.

Amanda | 2442 comments Librarians have no control over site functions. We only update/fix the database entries.

You will need to post to the Feedback Group:

Adam Carter | 14 comments Excellent. Thanks both. Have a good weekend.

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) | 6325 comments There are several very recent posts on same issue over on the site issues help desk ( that is the "feedback group" rather than librarians group dealing with book data).

They may or may not be related to your issue; most have been about disappearing ratings.
