I think I lost the excitement over Outlander through the series. I remember I've binge watched the first series but than I've stopped watching, I don't know why because if you ask me it's still one of my favourite shows ever...

Shaz, sorry to hear about your dad!

Me too Sandra. I loved it at first but somehow lost interest after a while and didn't keep watching. Same thing happened with Poldark series.

It looks really good. I was a bit worried they would play up the "love triangle" too much, but I don't think they are. Hard to say, but looks like there's going to be good tension!

Missy | 1485 comments Title of the video: Bridgerton: Everything We Can Tell You About Season 2 | Netflix

The video contains brief clips of season 2. A nice little sneak peek, in my opinion! But what is up with Penelope's hairdo in some of these scenes?

message 769: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 1425 comments As far as Tvs based on books: I'm going to have to catch up on Sanditon. Right now i'm watching, Outlander, TWD, Killing Eve, and Gilded Age. Soon i will be watching Brigerton season 2 and unrealeted but Barry and Saul Goodman. Did they have to come out with everything at the same time?

message 770: by Missy (new)

Missy | 1485 comments I know, right, Lauren. Even Sandra Bullock’s new movie, The Lost City, will be in theaters on the 25th of March, the same day Bridgerton 2 is available on Netflix.

message 771: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 1425 comments Does Sandra Bullock's new movie remind you a little of Romancing The Stone or is that just me?

message 772: by Missy (new)

Missy | 1485 comments I've only seen parts of Romancing the Stone when I was a child, so I can't confirm.

Lauren wrote: "Does Sandra Bullock's new movie remind you a little of Romancing The Stone or is that just me?"

It does seem similar, but not a complete remake. The author in the Sandra Bullock movie seems to be quite a bit more worldly than the one in Romancing The Stone

No, it's not just you.
I loved that movie and though of it immediately when I saw the Lost City trailer.

Oleander | 271 comments I read an interview with Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum yestersday that said the new movie was supposed to be in the vein of romancing the stone. It is a test movie to see if Rom Com can still attract movie goers. Apparently, movie makers think that people will no longer go to the theater for anything other than Marvel universe stuff.

Not about it specifically, but it’s hard to start something new when we don’t have time to keep up. Will see when our new mods feel up to speed if they want to take it on.

I couldn't agree more.
The success of the Bridgertons and The Hating Game is a clear indication that there is an untapped audience that movie producers are ignoring.

Cinema tickets are also so expensive these days and I'm also not eager to be in an enclosed space with so many people. Unfortunately, Omicron is still with us.

Sandra Moreira | 1121 comments Mod
Despite loving this kind of movies. if I go to the cinema, that I usually don't, I only go to see movies with great productions like Star Wars or something like that, where the huge screen is an advantage and even as here in Portugal we are almost all vaccinated the cinema it's not a place where I want to stay

@Sandra, you are so lucky to have watched it already!!! I’ll have to wait to comment after I watch the new season tomorrow.
