The winner of our July poll is More Happy Than Not. This debut novel received starred reviews from Kirkus, PW, Booklist, and SLJ. Do you think it stands out as a Printz contender?

This book started off slow for me. Aaron's feelings didn't make sense and then it began to. Silvera mixes sexual identity with science fiction effectively. This book is relatable to all teens regardless of sexuality. Anyone who struggles with who they are and wanting to change to fit in and the want of being loved will relate.
I thought More Happy Than Not was a beautiful and tortured look at identity.
I think this could win the Printz.
