I found it... interesting. I struggled to get through it and it took quite a while to read but at the same time I actually kinda of enjoyed it. The prose is beautiful, there's no denying that, and the ideas that it explores are interesting but it took me a long time to get past the fact that it's actually quite boring if you're typical reading material is more gripping than most modernist texts.

I had to read this book in college and it became one of my favorites. I still rank it as one of the best I've read, maybe a little of that is for nostalgia's sake. I read it every once in awhile. Basically, it was the first eye-opening book I read that made me realize a book/novel doesn't just have to tell a story; you can actually do interesting things with the medium.
