It was just a general question of the rules Librarians follow when it comes to Listopia. As an example:
- when do you see fit to delete list
- can you merge lists together when they are about the same thing.
Deleting lists when list is personal, although sometimes editing the list title / description to make it non personal is done. There is no merge function for librarians, staff may or may not have a function
Listopia's are one of the more complex areas that you will find librarians posting links to to ask for second/third opinions.
It is always better to get a second opinion if unsure
Adding a book to listopia is essentially the same thing as voting the book on.If you use the "add" feature to vote 10 books on, and then you delete your entire user vote, whether a particular book stays on the list or disappears completely depends on whether anyone else voted that book on. If you are the only person who voted it on, and you delete your user vote (your 10 books), the book is gone from the list. If 5 people voted the book onto the list, and you delete your user vote, the book remains on the list but with 4 votes now.
I have seen listopias created - but the list creator does not add any books to them - those lists are sometimes deleted by a librarian or staff, sometimes not, depending really on who sees them.
But if a book is on a listopia, by definition it has at least 1 vote. It can't have zero votes - unless someone deleted their user vote and there is a caching delay (the deletion is pending). So for example on some lists at the very end of the list you might see a book with zero votes or -1 vote - such a book is pending deletion.
If that's the case, is there some other list-like feature in Goodreads where people can add books about similar themes or stuff like, for example, the full list of books published in the Penguin classics series? No. There are series, but the Penguin Classics are not a series under GR rules.
Is there a delay when a book is added to a list and then that fact is added to the book's page? I added VIRAL by J.T. Cooper to the list "Books with a Terrorism theme" but it doesn't show on the VIRAL page.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cache_(...basically, it means that data is not updated instantaneously, and in the case of the book page, items might not be seen for 24-48 hours.

Sorry if this question has already been answered.
What are the Librarian rules on Listopia? I've looked through the manual but cannot find anything on it.
