Feb.-March book discussion: Finding Claire Fletcher by Lisa L Regan

I agree. I'm 100 pages in and like the chapters from the detective's POV, but the brutal treatment of Claire is hard to take.

I finished this book over the weekend. I might have picked up this book on my own, since mystery and crime fiction is my favorite genre.
However, I think several of the chapters from Claire's point of view toward the end of the book could have been cut. I was turned off by the continuing abuse and violence.

It is a very tough read, I know I had many issues with some things Claire did and didn't do but it is a book that stuck with me for a couple weeks after I finished it as well. I liked that the author portrayed how tough it is for a woman to get out of an abusive situation, even if she can. I thought it was well written.
