i might join in on this one if i dont start it beforehand. i have the trilogy on my kindle and havent gotten the nerve up yet to jump in :)
Hope you decided to join us, Keri. Wow! To be honest, I didn't know there were any other books! I thought this was a stand alone. Good to know. I fixed the thread to include it.
yea its
ive been holding off on these for awhile. i think ive heard so many positive reviews im worried that im not going to feel the same :)
Not sure. I know it's a love triangle... I thought they all went together. I guess we will find out when we finish the Opportunist :)
Yeah, I guess so. :P Venturing on the summaries/pages of sequels is like begging for spoilers. lol But maybe I'm mixing it up with another NA trilogy. Oh, well, we shall see. ;)
Chapter 3. I know it's really early but I love this. It's funny and the writing is greatCaleb (view spoiler)
Olivia (view spoiler)
i will be starting this soon. have a lot going on right now. but if you havent bought the books yet they are all on sale right now on amazon for 99 cents!! here is the link for the opportunisthttp://amzn.to/1TvxFQm
Finished, I loved it. I can see how this isn't for everyone. Personally I love a messy, flawed main character but I can see how Olivia could turn some people off.Caleb (view spoiler)
Olivia (view spoiler)

@Allison: I normally loveeee flawed or unreliable characters, but Olivia is (view spoiler) So, you're right when you say this isn't for everyone. I'll give it until 25% for it to suck me in, but so far Olivia only makes me want to scream.
Sorry Vicki…I did't give too much away about the above though. I finished it today and I have to say it improved dramatically in the last few chapters. I liked the story to begin with but the last few chapters were fantastic and for Olivia life changing.
Trisha wrote: "Yikes, I'm getting behindanyone okay with rescheduling this one?? to later this month?"
Yes, Trisha, because I didn't get to it yet either.
Allison wrote: "@Paula, did you love it at the end? [spoilers removed]"I DID! I loved it and cried during it.
So, i just saw this buddy read going on and had to join. I just read all three books last month and LOVED each one of them. Even though its the same story they're completely different. I am excited to hear what everyone else thinks...I hope its ok if I join in the conversation. Don't think I'll be rereading it already though. Enjoy it!!
Allison wrote: "@Paula, did you love it at the end? [spoilers removed]"I absolutely loved the ending because I think what happened is the right conclusion at this time. It was a dramatic conclusion and a pivotal one.
Heather wrote: "So, i just saw this buddy read going on and had to join. I just read all three books last month and LOVED each one of them. Even though its the same story they're completely different. I am excited..."Which of the three books was your favorite?
Paula wrote: "Heather wrote: "So, i just saw this buddy read going on and had to join. I just read all three books last month and LOVED each one of them. Which was your favorite?
I just finished the opportunist
and am about to start Dirty Red
. I was just wondering because I do not like Leah so I was thinking whether I can skip her story but most people seem to agree that her story is essential to the entire story.
You definitely can't skip Leah's story. I thought the same thing as you. I didn't want to read it if it wasn't about Caleb and Olivia...but it's not without them. I gave her book five stars also, if that tells you anything. Lol (Don't worry I'm not giving out spoilers!) ;)

I haven't read it yet...but I'm slowing getting through my pile to get there! :D

@Heather: Have you read
by the same author? :)@Vicki + Trisha: I don't mind rescheduling, guys... I'm stuck on the 13% mark. I think I'm just not in the right mood to enjoy it. I would hate to give it a rating that has everything to do with my state of mind and nothing to do with the book itself.
is really really good. The other book that ties in with Marrow is
. Mudvein came out first. They can both be read as standalones but Marrow answers some questions from Mudvein.
Yes! I did read
. It was very good. Its kinda weird but one you NEED to finish. I also read
which i had been dying to read but ended up hating it. From the reviews, people rated great and terrible. You know most books are rated fairly the same? Well, Mud Vein the ratings were all over the place! Lol Have you read anything else by her?
Keri wrote: "

@Heather: I read Never Never by her and Colleen Hoover, but I wasn't a fan of it. Way too much withholding information (but I'm in the minority :P). I was asking because I own Marrow and I can't wait to get to it! I love weird books! ^_^ I'm not so sure about giving Mud Vein a shot now, though. You were right: the ratings are all over the place. :O
@Clementine i have bought Never Never 1 & 2 but refuse to read them until the 3rd one comes out. I am terrible about cliffhangers and try not to read a series until all books are out. I think you have to be in a certain frame of mind for Tarryn Fisher's books. I liked Mudvein but i loved Marrow. i'm really looking forward to the new book she's writing F*** Love. Should be interesting :)

The cliffhangers drove me insane! :O Especially that they haven't set a release date for the third part yet. >.<'
I do agree about being in the right mood to read her books. That's why I think it's best I put The Opportunist on hold for now. :P
I also agree....you need to be in the mood for Tarryn Fisher's books! That COULD have been why I didn't care for Mud Vein. But I am one of those Never Never lovers!
