Does an excerpt count as an edition?

I just came across this editon (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...) of Mind Games. It is a large (46 pages) excerpt of the Germand edition. It has its own ASIN and can be found on amazon Germany as a free download but I'm confused because it is just a part of the book and I've never come across excerpt as editions before.

Should this stay or should it be deleted?

Excerpts published separately with their own ASIN should stay but should not be combined with the main book (you need to separate the edition). If non English book, please leave a Librarian note that this is an excerpt, so other librarians don't re-combine.

Are you not going to separate the edition?

I tried yesterday but for whatever reason Goodreads just ran the separation tool for an eternity. So I gave up, since I had some other things to do and couldn't just wait for who knows how long, and decided to try it again today.
Which I just did. It is separated now and has its own librarian note.

I was just wondering if you are having issues with it. It happens sometimes that it will go on for too long. Thanks.
