Helen Erwin | 95 comments Years ago I saw a book that looked really interesting but for some reason I didn´t take the time to read it then, nor did I write down the title or the author.
I assume it would be considered fantasy, Sci Fi, possibly travel and history genre as well.
All I remember is that it was about a woman in a small village in Africa, if she went out to the left side of her house she would see her home village and everyone she knew, but if she went out on the right side she would be transported into another world, a modern urban area possibly in the future.

For the life of me I cannot remember this book. Does it sound familiar to anyone here?

Shannon I hope you find it too because I want to read it! There is a website that exists for this very reason. People can go there, type in a description of a book that they can't remember the name of, and people that know respond. But of course I cannot remember the name of the site.

Helen Erwin | 95 comments Shannon, Oh no then we are really in trouble!

It is like when you sit around with your friends and is trying to tell each other about a certain handsome actor and it goes like this,
"You know that guy... what´s his name again? You know the guy in that movie... what was it called again? The one that has...what is her name? You know the one in the movie with the bridges, with that guy who also played in that movie with the handsome guy from Star Wars, what is his name?" ;)

Quoleena Sbrocca (qjsbrocca) Try these sites:

http://www.utne.com/arts/howtofindtha...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...

The first one is called, "How to Find That Book You've Spent Years Looking For."

Good luck, and I hope you'll post the title if you find it!

Helen Erwin | 95 comments Thank you Queoleena,
I LOVE the wiki link, there are several books there I would like to read, but sadly I didn´t find "mine."

A.D, what is the book about that you are looking for?

I think it's a young adult book I read when I was a child. It was about two teenagers on a space trip to the moon and one of them comes across an alien (who does not have a physical body) whose ship crash lands on the moon. The boy helps her get her ship fixed (they have fallen in love by this stage) and he ends up taking the risk and dying (shedding his physical body) to be with her. I know it's a bit unusual but I've never been able to get it out of my head lol.

Thanks for the links Quoleena ad Kathleen and yes, what Father time and Mother Nature has taken away, Google will find:-D
