Keep watching or not keep watching

Anyway, in the spirit of keeping "Valar Moghulis-Valar Dohaeris" a friendly and comfortable place, I'll contribute:
I'll keep watching because I have no reason not too.
Is Season 5 the weakest so far? Totally. Can't argue with that.
Was Dorne's plot worthless and contribute nothing cool to the show? Absolutely.
Are the books still infinitely better than the TV show? That has always been the case with most adaptations and this is no exception.
But, is the show, as an independent... thing, without considering the books, a good show? More than that I would say, it's one of the best TV shows I've seen, and I've seen a lot.
So yeah, damn right I'll keep watching.
As for what I'm more hyped about the next season...
- Finding out Jon's fate.
- "Tyrion and Varys: A meereenese adventure."
- Daario and Jorah the Greyscale Andal going in a quest to save princess Zeldaenerys (wait, what?).
- Motherfucking Oldtown, baby!
- Yar! Pitares at least! Or the closest thing we'll get: the Greyjoys. I really hope we get to see Nagga's Hill with the bones of the giant sea monster.
- Cleganebowl? Or whoever the FrankenMountain Robert Strong faces in Cersei's trial.
- What in seven hells is Littlefinger up to?

Ahhh, this made me lol. I 100% completely understand and agree with your TB reference. They butchered that show! I was hooked season 1 - probably 4. I mean "binge watching instead of responsible chores/social activities/college homework" hooked. After that it was so bad!

Netflix is the devil! But yes, there are other series that are also good (Black Sails is one)

I want Sansa to meet him and flay him. That bastard.
@Maureen & Mark: Man, True Blood is indeed a disaster. Stopped watching after those fairies showed up. Well, at least Game of Thrones has some magic moments.
I am excited for Olenna vs Cersei showdown next season. I guess Randyll will stay in The Reach to meet Sam.

I will start. I will keep watching:

There are certainly sufficient differences to regard the Books and the Show as seperate entities now. From what has been said, insofaras I understand, GRRM had the full book plan before he began writing, so hopefully the show won't influence too much. SHOW-WISE however, now he's been dispatched, I'd love to see a Randyll/Sam catch up now that Sam's grown a pair.....

I'll have to watch to show to find out what happens to Jon.
From what I've seen from GRRM interviews he knows in his mind the ending but he makes up the story to get there as he goes. He gave a talk that some writers are architects that plan in detail the full story and have outlines. Other writers are gardeners that make things up as they go with an ending in mind. GRRM said he is of the gardener type. So it's not like GRRM can just hand the show producers an outline so they can closely follow the books. So differences should be expected.

GRRM might make up some of the story as he goes, but at least he hasn't contradict himself so far, that I know of, so that's ok to me. As long as he respects continuity, it's all good.
Silvana, about Jon warging into Ghost, I wouldn't like that option either if it was something definitive, but if he does, I don't think it would be forever. If he indeed has something to do with some of those prophecies, he won't come back as just a wolf, and also, I'm convinced Melisandre will do something. Otherwise why the hell would they take her back to Castle Black in the show, or make her have prophetic dreams about "Snow" in the books? I think he'll spent some time inside Ghost's mind, but not forever.
Didn't Varamyr also said in his prologue that he couldn't stay forever in the wolf's mind? If I'm remembering correctly. Still, that wasn't a direwolf with a mystic connection to his family, so I don't know what are the rules there. But I do think Varamyr's chapter is there for a reason and that reason has something to do with Jon's fate.

I enjoy this season, like a lot so I have to keep watching the show.
I love ASOIAF universe, and untill the next book, the show is where I feed my fanboy beast.

Peter Dinklege, for best supporting actor, and both D&D writers and the director for the "Mothers Mercy" episode.

Arya's training, Mercy scene and so on
Tyrion and Varys ruling Meereen
Dany in Dothraki sea and so on
Jon Snow's coming back to life and situation at The Wall
Bran's training with the Weirtreenet
Winterfell and the North: Sansa Theon Brienne Pod
Davos doing gods know what
Sam in Oldtown and Meet the Tarlys at Horn Hill
Kingsmoot
Jaime and Bronn Strike Back: The Riverlands Adventure
Cersei vs The Tyrells
Dorne...stuff
I know I forgot something. Anyway, look forward to hear (well, read) your opinion :)

That's a pretty good list. Since I'm such a fan of both of their characters: Tyrion and Varys ruling Meereen. "The West Wing: Meereen" is sure to have plenty of drama and comedy! They both just absolutely NAIL their characters and can't wait for lots of witty banter.
Close seconds: Kingmoot, Jon Snow (obvi) and Winterfell action.

1. After Theon and Sansa jumped
2. To Rickon
3. Did Stannis really die?
4. Did Jon die or get resurrected, and by whom, and as what?
5. What flashbacks do we get to see
6. Bran's enlightenment
7. What highjinks Little(twisted)finger sets in motion
8. When/if Cercie recovers what will she do for revenge
9. Same for Margery and her family...will there be a war?

Kingsmoot and Oldtown/Horn Hill are still 50/50. I hope Euron will kick ass and the Tarly family drama won't be too soapy.
After seeing Kit Harrington's recent picture in the set wearing Stark colors, I am most intrigued with the North/Wall storylines.

That way his ties to the Watch are no longer valid, his story can continue, and he no longer wears the black. That's his new story line and no one is lying about Jon Snow being dead.
Might be a good reason to keep watching...one can only hope?

It really depends on who "legitimizes" him after resurrection. If it is Howland Reed, then yes, Jon Targaryen. If it is Robb Stark's letter (or was it a Will/his orders/wishes upon death? Can't quite remember) then Jon Stark (and maybe eventually Targaryen if Reed ever makes an appearance!).
Brain tickle! Lol :)

You forgot to include his true identity, Wolf Jesus :p
I will start. I will keep watching:
1. because of some story arcs I really enjoy, of which continuation I am still eager to know. Arya and everything in King's Landing, obviously.
2. Kingsmoot. They know now making up stories completely are not yielding the best results (see: Dorne) so maybe they will try to be faithful to the books this time.
3. Oldtown. We are going to see some addition in the form of the Tarlys but hell, bring it on. Have Randyll face to face with Euron if needed. Ironborn vs the Knights of the Reach, full steam ahead. Hell, if we get Oldtown we might even get a decent Sand Snake for once.
4. The new Meereenese Triumvirate.
5. There's no way I could stop using social media with the spoiler galore.
How about you guys?
