History: Willow was born to a family of many riches. Her parents would take her around the world to meet many famous people, and many famous tutors. One day, when they were coming home from a trip to France, a car hit their limo, and Willow was severely injured. She was blinded by some metal scraps. Since then, her parents have tried to make ends meet, and sent her to this school.

Everything that she read was soon forgotten no matter how long she read and re-read. At first she would stay for hours studying, but after her mother's death she just gave up loosing faith in herself. This was when Nicole became sarcastic and depressed. Then it got worse when her sister died, nevertheless, she hid her depression from her peers. She covered her depression with a phony smile that made her look cheerful. History When her mother died, Nicole's dad went into a huge depression but her sister was able to pull him out with her charms. After her sister died, no one could pull her dad out of his depression. One day Nicole walked into her sisters room and her dad followed her. After that day, he forced her to dress and act like her sister. He even had her brush play with Amalie's dolls they way she used to. Never would Nicole be herself at the house. And if she was even a minute late from school, her dad would ground her in her room without any food or water until she asked for forgiveness and promised to obey. When she went into high school, her dad completely forgot about Nicole and claims he only had one child. marshall is a confusing character, he loves to be alone, he is afraid the same thing that happened to Samantha will happen to others, he thinks of himself as a monster, for having pulled the life support, he wishes he had tried harder to save her . Although when someone does manage to get close to him, he is extremely secretive, and will not share his feelings, but past that, he is a fun guy to hand around with, he uses a lot of sarcasm, and jokes around a lot. He plays guitar, one that he found when searching food when he was 12, and instantly loved playing music, he also sings, but he would never singing front of anyone else, never. After Samantha died, he became really reliable on himself, and used all the skills she had taught him to survive until this day, he is overly protective over the teddy bear Samantha gave him, he would not let anyone ever touch it, no one but him, it is the only thing he has left remind him of her. After she died, he also started smoking, in a way to relieve stress, but this wasn’t until he was 14, when he picked up his first smoke, he acts the way he does to push people away, he doesnt want them getting hurt.

Marshall only lived with his parents until he was five, they were drug addicts, and didn’t care very much about him, in fact, sometimes he would go days without eating, purely because they didn’t want to feed him. One day his mother brought him to the zoo, but since it was far away, they had to catch a train, he was excited when they got there, his mother brought him around to all of the animals, and when they reached the lions she told him that she was just going to the toilet, he nodded, but his mother wasn’t just going to the toilet, she had left, caught a train back to their house. He had been left at the zoo, he waited by the lions for hours, crying, and worrying as a 5 year old child would, he started to panic, and walked around the zoo asking every single person that would listen to the small boy “have you found my mummy?” they had all replied with shakes of their heads and continued on walking without a care, that was when he had finally given up, he stood in the middle of the pathway and cried, salty tears flowing down his face. A woman, by the name of Samantha Everhart spotted him, and walked over, she had brown hair that reached just past her shoulders that was starting to turn grey, green eyes the colour of the grass, a pointy but friendly face, and a tall skinny body, she looked only about in her 40’s, she asked what had happened, and Marshall had told her, the woman then tried to cheer him up, by telling him some funny jokes, and telling him that his mummy was probably just waiting in line to use the toilets, but even as a 5 year old, he knew there was no hope. Samantha wanted so badly for this child to be happy, and not cry, that she brought him into the store they had at the zoo, and brought him a blue monkey teddy that had very long arms and big, black, button eyes. This of course, cheered him up, what child wouldn’t be happy to have a brand new toy to play with, he had never had a new toy to himself before, and they had always been other baby’s toys that his parents would steal for him.
Being the nice girl Samantha was, she brought Marshall to the police to try and find his parents, but not even they could help, his parents had disappeared without a trace, they went from police station to police station, but no one had managed to find them, Samantha then decided she shall become his legal guardian and adopt him, she signed the papers, spoke to the adoption agency, it was weeks before she could finally take full custody of him, but she managed, and he became, Marshall lee Everhart.
Marshall lived with her for years they were as close as a mother and son could be, he was pound to call her his best friend, she helped his through everything, through the pain of his real mother abandoning him, and through the many bullies he faced during many years at school., one day, Samantha was diagnosed with cancer, leukaemia, she was stuck in hospital non-stop, and Marshall was forced to live with Samantha’s sister melody, but he would visit Samantha every day, he would sit there with her, for hours, either talking to her, or watching a movie, or even just sitting outside the surgery room, waiting for the ,any surgery’s she had to be over, so she could be safe again, this went on for years, but her leukaemia only got worse, they couldn’t fully cure her, eventually, she went into surgery, but never woke up, she wasn’t dead, but she was on a life support machine, he would still visit her every day, but they wouldn’t be able to talk, or watch movies, he would just sit there and watch, hoping she might wake up soon, he sometimes read her stories, hoping she could hear him, even though she wasn’t showing any signs of it. when marshal was 15, the doctors came up to him, they told him that there was no chance she was going to wake up, and even if she did, she wouldn’t survive long with the leukaemia, he was given a choice, to leave her there, hoping she might wake up, even though it wouldn’t happen, or unplug the machine. He wanted to go for the first choice, he didn’t want to give up hope on her, but he didn’t want the woman who so kindly looked after him for so many years, despite how annoying, and childish he could be, to be in pain, he had to do it. “We will unplug the machine” he told the doctors, “but I want to do it myself.” The doctors nodded and walked him to her room. They gave him clear instructions on how to turn it off, before letting him say his goodbyes. Slowly, he walked up beside her bed. “I’m so sorry Samantha” he whispered. Tears flowing from his eyes. “I didn’t want to do this, I don’t want to lose you, I love you too much, and I can’t tell you how thankful I am for having you as a mother, I couldn’t be a luckier person, to have such a wonderful person in my life, it’s something I will never be able to repay you for, never in my whole life” he whispered with teary eyes. Looking down at her pale white skin, her eyes shut closed. He hugged her, he hoped, that maybe in that moment, she would wake up, and return the hug, so he didn’t have to do it, but there wasn’t any movement coming from her, other than her soft heartbeats and slight breathing, but that was the machines work, she wasn’t able to do it on her own. He wiped away his teary eyes, and stepped away from the bed, he walked over to the machine, and listen to the doctors instructions, he pressed a few buttons, and the machine turned off, and so did the life of Samantha Everhart

Personality: A little silly, a little sweet, and a whole lot sarcastic, Drew is a pretty fun person to be around. That is, only for certain people. She knows that she can get on some people's nerves- especially when around people she's very comfortable talking to. She's generally shy around new people, but can be extremely loud when she's comfortable with her surroundings. Occasionally, she can be put in a mood in which her emotions damper and her friends become seriously concerned that something may be wrong. It's a hard feeling for her to describe, but it never lasts much longer than a day or so. In general, she's quite nice, and willing to help anyone, as well as make new friends. She sees herself as quite approachable, although sometimes she wonders why she doesn't have as many friends- or just really close friends, as she wished she did.

History: From ages one to four, Drew lived a pretty normal life. Her parents loved her, her older brother loved her. She had people constantly caring for her and teaching her, straight from day one. But then it took a turn. Her mother must have decided that the family life wasn't for her- even after six years. She left them. And Drew's father fell into a horrible pit of sadness. He was always at work, and he came home late and left early. The two young children looked after each other when their grandmother couldn't. Three years later, their dad thought he found someone who loved him. Drew thought this woman was the devil. The image of Satan on Earth. Even as a seven year old, she despised this woman. She wore six inch stiletto heels, with tiny dresses and lipstick so thickly spread on her cracked lips, that she looked dead and ugly. But this awful, mean woman put on an act for her father, and convinced him to marry her. And the more Drew hated her, the more she noticed. When Drew would come home, her dolls, her toys, her art supplies would be gone, or broken. And she'd go to her new mother and ask her where they had gone, and all that evil woman did was snarl, declaring that nothing a "little brat" said would make her go away. Her stepmother traumatized her for years. And when Drew got the chance to leave- she did. And she came here. Hoping for some comfort. Hoping to fully be herself. Hoping to be able to tell someone how she had been treated, and get it off her chest. She was herself outside of her home, she rarely put on an act, but it was a weight that dragged her down constantly.

Personality: Amari is a somewhat sky girl. She can be nice and mean, shy and loud. Some people find her confusing, but she never catches on. Amari isn't mean, but she will always say whats on her mind, no matter what the other person or the people around her think. She can be stubborn when she wants something and can hold her own if needed.

History: Amari lived a somewhat normal life, but then her family found themselves lost in debt. Her father worked hard to support her and her mom, but then he died so her mom had to start working, leaving her on her own. She stayed home alone since she was seven so her mom could work. One day her mom came home from work. There had been some sort of oil spill at her usual working area and she was very sick and looked deathly pale. Amari panicked and called the doctor's office to help her, but they refused because her family didn't have enough money. Amari had to help her mom by cleaning and making breakfast everyday until her mom got better, but she never did. Her mom said that she still had to work in order to take care if her, but Amari refused. Amari was only twelve at the time, but she found a place to work and although her pay was small, she still worked harder than anyone. Amari had to forget about her school work for a bit in order to take care of her mom, but eventually her teachers got worried about how much she was missing school. Amari had to talk to multipule people in order to get them to believe that she was alright and her education wasn't suffering due to her missing school, but they still sent her to school. At first she would go to school everyday and try to learn as much as possible since her mom was getting better, but then her mom had a relapse and had to stop working again. By this time she was thirteen. Amari soaked up all the knowledge she could then dropped out of school and started working again. She found Lakewood Academy and applied, just to prove to herself that she could get in. When she did get in she felt proud of herself, but still didn't worry about school. Finally her neighbors noticed how sick her mom was and they called the police telling them that someone had to take care of her since her mom was 'clearly not fit to take care of a child.' The police tried to take her away from her mom, but Amari kicked and screamed until they let go of her. She decided that she didn't want to be put in the foster system so she took her application and decided she was going to go to Lakewood. She headed off. Her mom died from a heart attack about a week after she arrived to Lakewood.

Personality: Kai is often pensive and deep in thought, hardly acknowledging others around her. It's difficult for someone to catch her attention; but once someone does, she's immediately latched onto them. She's emotional and she wears her heart on her sleeve around people she's comfortable around. If she hardly knows you, however, she can be perceived as stoic, unreachable and completely not interested in you. Kai gets most of her ideas from art books as well as constantly scribbling in her notebook-- it's always tucked under her arm.
History: Born in the slums of New York City, Kai grew up in an unsteady environment. Her parents fought often; causing her mother to eventually leave because she couldn't take it anymore. With her exceptional grades, however, despite her family's financial weaknesses, she earned a scholarship into an art middle school. She excelled in poetry and painting. She grew quite popular among the other students because of her mysteriousness-- and the way she seemed unreachable to most of her peers. She made the boys fall like dominoes, and she didn't even notice.

Personality: Ki is anything but burly, masculine, and angry. He tends to try and stay on everyone's good side at first, although, if you hurt one of his friends he will despise you from the darkest pits of his soul. He is dangerously selfless and cares for others much for than he cares for himself. Because of this, people tend to walk all over him, and he hardly notices because he's too busy making sure everyone's happy. His motives are always entirely pure, even though that's definitely not easy to live with in this cruel world. His sister, Kai, often compared him to a fluffy bunny who just wanted everyone to get along.
History: Living in the slums of New York City after his mother left the family, he supported his depressed father and younger sister by writing for online magazines and sports reviews, despite his distaste for literature. He would have much preferred to be earning money playing his violin for tips in the subway, but that hardly paid anything. He was the provider. He had to make sure finances were stable, even if that meant not being able to do what he truly loved. He hardly got into the academy with his shaky grades (he had ADHD and could hardly study,) but much to his relief, he did. He's hoping to go to a good music college.

Likes: Ki has always had the biggest, most embarrassing celebrity crush on the famous violinist, Lindsay Stirling. Not only is she attractive, but he admires her musical talent and aspires to be at her level someday and make something of himself, just like her.
He also loves going on walks alone. It's something that he does in his free time, just to let himself relax. He stresses over almost everything.
Fears/Flaws: Ki has lots of fears, but his three biggest ones are: His sister getting married to someone she doesn't love, what happens after death, and getting buried alive. He has terrifying nightmares almost every week where one of those situations takes place.
His biggest flaw is the fact that he unknowingly lets people take advantage of him because of his obvious and undeniable kindness. He has become quite the doormat.
Dislikes: He absolutely despises everything that has to do with math, which is the other main reason, aside from ADHD, that his grades are suffering. It reminds him of when he had to do financial calculations when he was his family's main bread-winner, and it tires him out quickly.
He also hates loud parties, people who mess with his sister, English class, and going shopping for clothes by himself. It's more fun if a supportive friend-- or Kai -- tags along.
Strengths: He is wonderful at the violin, especially happy tunes, because when he's feeling happy, he's playing better. And naturally, happy songs make him happy.
Ki is also great at knitting, embarrassingly, as his best friends always tease him about it. He doesn't care though. He can wear them in the winter and he won't be cold.

Personality: Ainsley isn't smart. Not smart at all. Instead, she spends all her time reading romantic novels and trying to figure out who should date who at school. She also doodles in her journal a lot. Ainsley always keeps this one journal with her, and she writes down almost everything in it. She'll set up dates for her friends, and most of the time the friends she sets up are happy together! At her old school, Ainsley was known as 'Matchmaker'.
