Matthew, however, also has a hard outer shell, so he doesn't trust others easily, and can be very cold and rude to others even when he really doesn't mean to. Though under his hard shell, is a very sweet person who wants to be cared for, and have a true friend.
History:Ever since Matthew could remember, his father had abused him. It all started when his mother died giving birth to his younger sister Destiny. His father began to drink heavily, and at that time began to physically abuse Matthew. The boy purposely did bad things so that his father would only hit him instead of also hitting his sister as well. He protected the small girl, no matter how hard he was hit. But as the two grew up, the beating got worse and worse. Finally, tragedy struck when their house caught on fire. Now Matthew was only 13, and his sister Destiny only 8. Matthew had tried to save Destiny, but a beam had fallen in front of the doorway, and there were no other ways out. He struggled so hard to save her. But she ended up dying anyways. While Matthew sat there and cried about the death of his younger sister, his shirt had ended up catching on fire, and he suffered severe burns on his back and the right side of his torso. He was rescued by a fireman, who's name was Damien. Immediately after being saved, Matthew was admitted into the hospital. After recovering 2 months later, the fireman who had saved him, Damien, took him in and gained custody of him since Matthew had no relatives that were willing to take him. After turning 14, he and Damien moved to Lakewood and Matthew was admitted into Lakewood Academy.

Cleo had an okay childhood. She grew up with three older brothers, which is mainly why she loves sports so much. Although she grew up in a house full of boys, she was still pretty girly. She was into barbies, even though it was in the "ripping their arms off and replacing them with carrot sticks" kind of way. Like they say, a child is never born cruel, so Cleo must've gone through something to make her this way. That would be her parents' negligence. Cleo always felt the need to be extreme, since that was the only way to get her parents' attention. They were always off on some trip with money they never cared to spend on their children, and she was left with her brothers who were old enough to take care of her. This established a very close relationship between her and her siblings. Her uncle was always sent to watch over them, and she'd always mistaken him for her father when she was little. When she got older, she understood not to call him "dad", but that didn't make him stop feeling like one. A better one, anyway. She lived in London but had heard about Lakewood and immediately wanted to go there. It seemed like paradise, and her favorite part was actually making some friends that cared about her. -Lily grew up with her father john, who she loved very much, her father also loved her very much, and they were very close. Her mother left them once lily was born; no one knows where he went. All they know is that she’s gone and that she’s left because she wasn’t ready to look after a child. So john hand raised lily himself, even if it meant bringing her to work, sure all the other workers at the office though a crying baby in the office was a bad idea, but what else was he meant to do he didn’t want to leave her at home with a babysitter, and he couldn’t skip work until she was older, of course, there were a few people at the workplace that didn’t mind lily, mainly the those who were parents themselves, they would coo over baby lily and help john out whenever he needed it. Her father was her best friend when she was growing up, and she wasn’t afraid to admit that to others. They would laugh, and play together, she would help him with work when it wasn’t too hard, and they had even learned how to speak to each other in mors code so they could tap on desks or walls while they were at work without interrupting everyone else.
When lily was 9, her father has been allowed to take a holiday they went to Australia. In Queensland, they wend and visited all the theme parks, had ice-cream at the beach on hot sunny days, it was wonderful. On the day before they were supposed to leave, they went to wet and wild, for a little fun. But at the end of the day. It wasn’t so fun. T lunch her father had left to go get them something to eat and lily was left with their tour guide Rosie, she was nice, and she had long blonde hair and a skinny and pale yet friendly face. Rosie and lily were sitting at a table together when they heard the loud bang, like an explosion, and it wasn’t long before they saw rubble flying everywhere and smoke appearing in the sky, without a second thought they had ran over to see what was going on. Once they got there, they realized what had happened, someone had planted a bomb, in the food court, where her father was, it was now set aflame, with pieces of rubble lying everywhere in a mess. There was no way her father could have survived that, and even if he had, he wouldn’t last long under the brick and cement piled on top of him. Lily collapsed, sure she was young, but she knew what had happened, she curled up in a ball on the ground her body shaking from crying, her face hidden in her hands her body surrounded by dozens of curious others wonder what had happened, Rosie had stayed beside her, sat down on the ground, and started rubbing her back, but lily had flinched away from her, she didn’t want to be touched, she had lost her only family member, and her best friend, when Rosie tried to hug her, lily only pushed her away, she couldn’t help but be angry at the girl, why hadn’t she left to get them food instead of her. Lily began yelling at Rosie, she didn’t know what she was saying beyond the buzzing in her ears, but she could tell it wasn’t nice judging by the look of desolation on roies face. Lily ran away from Rosie, not far though, she wanted to stay by her father…
A few hours later a police officer came up to lily who was crying and shaking on the step, he told her they had found her father, and that they had recognized her from the silly picture of her father and her in her father’s wallet, the police officer gave her the picture, his wrinkly face telling her sorry without any words as he told her that he was found dead, and they weren’t able to ring him back, the police officer had suggested that she come with him, but lily didn’t want to, she got up, tears streaming from her eyes, and ran, ran as far as she possibly can, out of the park, and into the streets, but she didn’t stop, she ran and ran, until the sun was setting, the picture of her father and her clutched in her hand, she ran until she couldn’t any more, she collapsed to the ground her body shaking, her muscles hurting, breathing heavily, but she didn’t notice any of this she didn’t notice any of this past her own thoughts, the memories of her father. She had nothing left of him, nothing but the picture of them, she was afraid to look at It and see her father’s smiling face next to hers.
She sat there for hours, people walked straight past her without a care, not even bothering to check if she was alright, that was until the police officer, the one that was at the park, had found her, apparently he had been looking after her for hours, he brought her to the police station, where she was then taken to a foster home in her original country, she wasn’t even allowed to get her stuff from her home, she had nothing but the photo.
the other children at the orphanage, took their time in befriending lily, at first, she didn’t like them, but soon realized they wanted the best for her, and just wanted to make her happy, but nothing could, she hid her pain behind a broken smile the whole time at the orphanage, just to keep her friends happy, but when she was 12 years old, a lady by the name or Mary, came to the orphanage looking for a daughter, all of her friends were excited, all of them, except lily herself, she didn’t want to be adopted, while her friends were making themselves look good for Mary, lily sat in the corner of the room, her baggy clothes loose on her body, she looked at the picture of her father, lily toung was poking out in the picture, showing her toothy grin, her father was smiling, the smile that would always make her better when she was upset. She wanted so badly to be with him right now, so he could comfort her, like he always did, she couldn’t help the tears at they rolled down her cheek.
The door then opened, and one of the nurses of the orphanage ushered all the girls in her dorm out, there were dozens, lily left last.
They all stood up infrpont of Mary, their best smiles on. Their clothes clean, and straight, except lily, she was looking down, her hands in the pockets of her geans, her plain shirt wrinkled, her red hair in a mess. But somehow, she had managed to catch the eye of Mary. Mary left, with a word the owner of the orphanage that she would be back soon to back lily up. Later on that day, lily was told what was going on, and that Mary had decided to adopt her, of course, all the girls in her dorm didn’t like this, they started to hate lily, they would crowd around in a circle, whispering harsh things about her behind her back, and wondering why anyone would want to adopt her Lily wondered this too as she sat in the corner of her dorm and cried. Cried until Mary came and picked her up later on that afternoon.

History: He grew up in a foster home, not that he minded. He loved his foster family. One day when he was about six he went to the neighbors house with his family for a party. There was a group of boys there so he decided to hang out with him. They all were about two years older with him, not that he cared. At first he thought everything was going great, until they started picking on him. They teased him until he was close to tears. Then the daughter of the hosts came out of her room. She was about five years old so a year younger, but she was already pretty feisty. She walked over to them and sat down on the floor, looking at them all curiously, "Don't you all have lives? I mean what you find this fun? Well let me tell you now friends if you were on the receiving side it wouldn't look so fun." She said firmly. Then walked over to Ryan and sat by him, "Ignore them, they have nothing better to do so they just pick on the weakest link, sorry pal but that's you." She laughed a bit. Then they started talking. Soon they were friends. Ryan was pretty sad when the party was over and it was time for him to leave, "I have to go now, bye...hey what's your name?" He asked her. She smiled at him, "Amari. Bye Ryan" She nodded matter-of-factly. Then he went back to his house. A weeks later they were best friends. His family always teased him about it but he just ignored them. He had two foster brothers whom he lived very much and one foster sister. He always found that music was the only way he could properly express himself. He learned multiple instruments. He learned many songs as his love for music grew. His sister was alot younger than he was and he would always read her bedtime stories. His foster sister got really sick and had to be taken into the hospital one night. She was about five when they diagnosed her with brain caner. He and Amari helped her out as much as they could. He couldn't stand the thought of something bad happening to his family. Something like that would change everything. She was so close to death that he wondered if he should pick out clothes for the funeral. But she overcame her cancer and then continued to live happily with them. Then his best friend moved to a boarding school and he unmeaning followed. He and his best friend dated for a bit, but she broke up with him when she moved. He just smiled at her and then nodded, understanding where she was coming from. After she was gone he was left by himself, he was never good at making friends and without someone to push him to try, he didn't.

History:
*Birth-
Aaron was born from a mother with pre-existing kidney disease. Doctors have warned his mom about all the dangers but she didn't care at all, insisting she'd have the child. Unfortunately for her, she had a maternal death. The responsibility of Aaron fell on his poor father's shoulders but the man stayed strong for his healthy newborn son. His father faced a lot of temptations, almost fell into deep depression and self pity but the thought of his son was his light.
*Growing Up:
As Aaron grew up without a mother, he depended on his father greatly. He'd go wherever his father went, even on business trips or anything of the sort. After Aaron went to kindergarten, his father was strong enough then to start going to school to become something better to support both him and his son. In the end, he became a lawyer, and the best in Colorado at that. He often had to make trips all over the state and sometimes outside the state for clients. He made sure that Aaron received anything he wanted, yet Aaron never became spoiled. He was always proud of his son. He knew that Aaron was going to become successful in his life. So he enrolled Aaron to the best Academy he could think of, Lakewood.
Dealing with hate:
Being small for his age and smarter than the rest, Aaron received a lot of bullying. HE had many friends but his flaw was that he trusted them with all his heart, which almost ruined his life. He'd tell them secrets he never told anybody and they'd spread the rumors immediately. Finally in the end of middle school, Aaron realized he wasn't like the typical straight white boys that hos friends are. While his friends would go after the girls, dream of girls, think of girls, he realized he didn't really mind who he was with. He just had an open mind and he decided to come out to his friends as pansexual. His friends weren't very accepting, in their minds, anything other than straight is just weird. So When his father asked him if he wanted to go to Lakewood, he instantly agreed.

Personality: Dylan is a very enclosed person. He doesn't like to be bothered and he doesn't like to be around people. LIFE/FAMILY

History: He was born into a normal family. Nothing weird at all. He had two sisters and one brother. One day his mom went missing. It started off him just thinking that she was out buying food for him, but she never came back. His dad filed a missing persons report after she didn't come back for forty-eight hours. The police looked and she wasn't anywhere to be found. Dylan was only seven when this happened and he didn't really know what was going. All that he understood was that he had a mom, and now he didn't. They police continued to search for her until they declared her dead. They never found her... At least not alive. A few years later they found what was left of her body. There were obvious signs of foul play, stab wounds to a few o her vital organs. Now Dylan was ten and he could process what had happened. The police opened an official murder investigation. Dylan was able to get this much, his mom was murdered. That can really stick with you. He loved his mom and now she was dead, and in such an awful way. Weeks later his dad was arrested for the murder of his mom. Then he and his siblings were sent to go live with their cousins in Denver Colorado. His life seemed to have fallen apart. His cousins welcomed him with open arms. They helped him through the hard times, along with his little sisters. His two little sisters were sent to the same school as him. He would pass them every day. Then they started to get picked on. No one knew what had happened to them, no one knew everything that they had been through. He finally had enough of it and then stood up for them, he got into a few fights, but he didn't care. In fact he didn't care about anything. Not anymore. He stopped caring about himself, stopped caring what people thought about him, stopped caring about his grades, and stopped caring plain and simple. Sometimes the only people that could get through ti him were his sisters, and sometimes no one could. His cousins sent him to Lakewood so he could make friends and raise his grades and whatever it is they said.
