Thanks Jenn, I think I will... I already have the 2nd book in my lineup to read asap, so now I can put that off until the 1st and finish up a few other series first...

Kay (Brigidsmomma) Compton (brigidsmomma) | 122 comments Jennifer, I haven't read any of these series yet, but they all sound great. So, since I couldn't really think of another reason, I chose the Gram’s Country Cooking School Mystery series because I live in Southern Missouri, and it's a great place to live and visit!

One day left for book selection and it looks like books are yet to be chosen for the following people:

Fairlee
Jill G
Nell
Teresa

Let me know if your name needs to be added or removed from this list. I will send a reminder to the selectors tomorrow.

ETA - I was able to send a pm to only one of the selectors for various reasons (messages were blocked or went to an author page or members with the same first name).

message 67: by Teresa (new)

Teresa Scott (goodreadscomknitknat) | 28 comments Nell,
No one has picked for me yet. I think I was assigned to Stephanie.

What does it mean about 2nd round picks? Does this mean we can get a 2nd series picked out for us if we want?

Hilary wrote: "What does it mean about 2nd round picks? Does this mean we can get a 2nd series picked out for us if we want?"

No, it's for those who did not have a series selected for them by the 25th. That's why the list is so much shorter.

Hilary wrote: "Ah so me picking for you didn't count?"

Yes it did count. The series you picked is the one I will be reading for July. I was one of the persons in the "2nd round" because the person initially assigned to pick a series for me did not post a selection.

If your question is whether anyone can get a second series selected, the answer is no. The second round is only for those who did not have a series selected for them by the 25th. It's so we can all participate in the challenge.

Does that answer your question?

Amy Foulkes | 23 comments I read my two books for this challenge

Fire And Ice (Liam Campbell, #1) by Dana Stabenow So Sure Of Death (Liam Campbell, #2) by Dana Stabenow

This was a new to me series and a new to me author. I very much enjoyed these books. The main characters are interesting, flawed, intelligent and capable. The setting in what is described as Bush Alaska was interesting and definitely different than most books I read. The author is from Alaska and definitely well informed and knowledgeable about the setting. Glad these books were chosen for me.

message 96: by Jill (new)

Jill Tool I love my series that was picked for me. I have decided that I'm going to go ahead and purchase the next one in line and hopefully get it read before the months up. If you haven't read Bibliophile Mystery by Kate Carlisle I would suggest them. I enjoy them, and you learn alittle about book binding as well.

What to choose for August....hmmmmmmmmm
